Shows what happens when you replace an out of depth manager with a genuinely class one, even mid season.

Abrahamovic is a trigger happy lunatic, but its gotten them two CL titles now.

So turns out the best method was the opposite of what we did. We spent our money on youth and players that didnt feature much this season and we stuck with our old boy Ole.

Chelsea outspent the premier league teams for players to come straight into the team and when Lampard couldnt get the new signings going, they signed the manager that was in the champions league final last year and their reward is winning the champions league
The other club as obsessed with youth/homegrown is Ajax

Chelsea are most successful PL club in last decade. Whatever model they have going over there, it clearly works.

Meanwhile, we are run by absolute morons who are stuck in the past. Ruined by sentimentality and incompetence.

Wonder what Lampard must be feeling now.

Tuchel took over, same set of players and bloody won them the Champions League.

The manager is really really important. Sentiments are overrated. Say what you want about Abramovich but he surely knows how to get success.

Roman and Granovskaya don’t feck about, do they? The parallels to our own road to nowhere are too painful to contemplate.

Fair play he’s been immense.

Took them from mid table to top 4 and a champions league whilst completely overhauling the style of play

Ah, so this will be the agenda. Strange how their signings have been mostly failures and their fortunes only reversed once Lampard was sacked for a proper manager.
Agenda? I've said all season Chelsea have a stronger squad than us. Even when Lampard was there.

They brought in 4/5 clear first teamers last summer for an already quality squad and got their reward. If we do the same and underachieve like Lampard did then fair enough I'll be calling for Ole's head with the rest of you.

Di Matteo without the FA Cup.

Nah he’s a good manager tbf. Knows his stuff tactically and should get Chelsea challenging for the league next year.

Great result from him and has done a brilliant job since coming into Chelsea.

Still he will be sacked new season.

Looks a top manager. Deserved winners.

Food for thought for us.

We are in for a harder Prem season next year. Will need a big summer and work from the coaches to work in out set piece problems especially.

Ohh look, a sacking club wins their 2nd CL trophy in the last 10 years while we became irrelevant in that competion in that period.

It's almost like there's another way to win things other than giving long contracts to out of depths managers (Moyes, Ole) and "trust the process" bullshit.

Congrats to Chelsea and all their fans on here. They deserved this by making logical decisions like sacking their ex legend and giving the job to a proper coach.

I've watched them 8-10 times after Tuchel has taken over and they looked like a well-oiled machine every time bar maybe 2.

Incredible job he's done.

PSG really did a good business here :D :D :D
He came just as close with PSG last season, that final was very close. He'll fall out with the Chelsea board soon enough just like it happened with Mainz, BVB, PSG..

Enjoyed watching them win tonight but it's concerning what they'd be like with a world class striker. Their shape and organisation is really good but they can be a bit wasteful.

Hugely impressive way they won the trophy. They were comfortably better than both Madrid clubs and thoroughly deserved to beat City tonight. Amazing job from Tuchel, a bit nervous about how good they'll be next season.

This is what progress looks like, not the imaginary one we see with our manager!

Well done to him. Just goes to show that a manager that has 'worse' players who can fit his system leads to better performances and results.

If only they kept Lampard. Say what you want about Roman, his method works.

Tuchel is an amazing manager. He's been 10/10 in how he's prepared this Chelsea side in the Champions League. If he can translate this to the league next season that will be bad news for us.

They've got their reward for significant investment last summer. That's how to do a transfer window.
The same "significant investment" meant nothing under Lampard. They've got their reward for replacing Lampard with a proper manager. Wish we had the balls to do it too.

Wouldn't have enjoyed either side winning tonight, but very happy for Tuchel. Once again showing how that the real issue with PSGs all star team is the players and not the endless string of managers.

This is what quick and intelligent decision making gets you. Chelsea didn't remain hung up on that legend BS and appointed a quality manager as soon as he got available and this is how they get rewarded.
But United will continue their mediocrity bandwagon. Class of 92 will continue to influence from outside and Ole will continue his mediocre reign.
