Where did I say he made only 2? I said he made 2 from the bench not total.

The only thing you corrected factually is that he has had numerous starts. If we are going to talk about facts it is a fact that he has had more minutes than Greenwood.

But regardless of the minutes it is what each player looked like with those minutes. Obi has made less impact with the time he has had than James Wilson and looked less ready and more raw. If he is now agitating for more minutes and annoyed that speaks of an issue with his attitude and self perception. However, like a lot of stuff around United maybe all of this is just fabricated.

My 2 cents is he is a very young, very raw striker who has potential but needs time and if he wants playing time consistently he seriously would benefit from a loan. United are not in the position to give players minutes when they are not yet justifying that selection. United are not a charity.

You said:

I disagree. The first season you refer to he made only a couple of appearances both from the bench. Not enough to establish anything................

Obi has had a lot more than two bench appearances so far and several starts already.

Let's break that down. "Only two appearances". "Both from the bench". That is not ambiguous, and it can not be claimed that you were only referring to substitute appearances (which is actually 3) and not including starts (1) for a total of 4. Especially when followed up by the first line of the next paragraph. Obi played 40 minutes more, yet you claimed a vast disparity in playing time. There is no significance whatsoever to their performances in those minutes. Lewandowski was playing in the 3rd tier of Polish football at that age. Macheda scored a crucial wonder goal on debut and ended up failing in Serie B. It's all meaningless comparisons.

I don't care what is said in the press, because the press are manipulative lying wankers whose sole purpose is to get clicks and attention by riling up emotionally invested fans who understandably get protective of their club. So I won't pay attention to what they say about a 17 year old who is making their way in life and football, and I certainly won't form any kind of judgement about his personality, and I suggest you don't either.

Is there some club obligation to have Manchester United on your social media account? He has 10 pictures in a row of him wearing Manchester United kits. Oh and it does say @manchesterunited on it. Did he put it back on or was this made up?

Currently playing. MUTV or National League on YouTube for a free stream.

Think Biancheri is outshining him a bit at the moment, it's perfectly normal - development isn't linear and that team is stacked with talent as is the u18
Biancheri has barely played this season, only 1 start and hasn’t scored yet. Didn’t even start last night.

Chido Obi has 3 goals in 4 starts, scored 3 matches in a row in the league.

We just rotated the team. Victor Musa hadn’t started yet and is from Basque Country, we like to give players a game when they have a connection to the opposition.

If there's no serious opportunity of him getting game time for the first team I do wish they'd give him a loan in the lower leagues for the rest of the season. One thing I didn't like under Amorim was the immediate promotion of players from youth football to the first team without some experience elsewhere. If there's no chance of him playing I'd also like to see Fredricson get a loan too to get some experience playing some competitive football. That Grimsby game showed he could do with it.

I'd rather Wilcox was sorting stuff like this and looking at transfers instead of turning up and looking glum at matches.

Because it's literally impossible for Wilcox to both watch the matches, like any board member should, and also do other things as well when the matches aren't being played?...

Wilcox and the rest of the staff have been doing exactly this. A huge number of our youth players are out on loan getting valuable minutes and developing, Kone was lined up to go to Lausanne but his head injury stopped that and he is reportedly training with them now and may go on loan for the rest of the reason.

With Obi he only turned 18 in November which may have caused some challenges with a loan this season and I fully expect him to go out on loan next season.

You can point to Wilcox and the backroom staff for many errors but getting in youth players and loaning out our current players is one area they have done very well.

The way I see it with Chido is that he was put into the first team at the worst possible time. It’s also the case that maybe whilst very physically dominant at youth level, he’s not adapted to the senior game, so I wouldn’t want to be loaning him out but rather focusing on physical development.

I do think it’s fair to be skeptical about his ability at the senior level because it does seem that he’s benefitted from being physically more advanced than other academy players but he’s still only 18, so wouldn’t write him off completely.

Currently sitting at 5 goals in 9 games for u21, seems that's the level he's currently at, loan maybe good for him.

Obi is back! He scored all four goals for the U21 in the 4-1 against Leicester, and it was four very different goals. Still raw, but he IS on the way up.

I didnt watch yesterdays U-21 game because it wasnt televised but based on the previous three appearances, it seems like he's really stepped up his game..
More aggressive with and without the ball and better at linking up with teammates.
still some way to go though, but definitely some positive signs.

I'm not seeing it with him. Watched him a fair few times this season and while he seems to have the physicality, he just doesn't create anything or get on the end of anything. Works had but it's not enough.

Also I think that he usually makes wrong decision with ball. Wrong pass or takes touch to wrong side.
