Who is the alternative for him?

Worried about overplaying him, don't really have another playmaking option in midfield unless Donny wakes up with a spine and passing range.

By far our most important player. I thought he was finished to be honest but he has proven me wrong so far. If only we'd have signed him when he was 27.

Later on it'll become an issue but he's played 45 minutes in the last 1.5 weeks and don't have another game for 2.5 weeks. But it'll just be picking and choosing his moments to rest him, but then again, his fitness has always been great and he doesn't play in a way that tires him unnecessarily? He's never sprinting, he runs a lot but not at high intensity so he's probably fine. People just nervous because of the heart thing IMO.

This guy is something else. If he gets injured, we are finished. We need to be on the lookout for his replacement on the double. Christ, if only he had been a just a few years younger.

Fantastic player as he's always been. One of the most important players given how we play. I think he helps both MCT and Bruno play their best.

Shame we didn't get him earlier

Get him younger alternative of himself and midfield is almost set with quality and depth. That kind of decision making should be high standard and he's forcing it when playing. Just brilliant artistry on the pitch.

As of right now? Bruno dropping deep. Maybe Iqbal but he doesn't look like he's physically ready to play in the PL. I suspect the plan was for Eriksen to rotated through the deeper and higher playmaking midfield roles that De Jong and Bruno would have played, respectively, but now he's stuck playing deep because we didn't get De Jong and there's no cover for either, really.

The answer right now is probably that Fred is the alternative to both Bruno and Eriksen, which, uh, I don't think is going to be pretty.

Top player. Making other players around him better aswell. That’s the sign of a quality player! Hope he’s fit for every single game. One of our most important players this season.

The assist was great vision. Antony begging for it but Eriksen knew exactly where he wanted to pass. Has eyes in the neck.

The gods were good to us. We lost Pogba on a free and managed to get a massive upgrade on him on a free transfer.

He gets better and more important as the games go on.

By the way.

Eriksen is rated 82 in Fifa 23.

below: De Gea, Ronaldo, Shaw, Varane, Casemiro, Fernandes and Sancho.

He also has less 'vision' than Sancho and a bunch of players.

His stamina is 62, not to be confused with sprint or speed, but his stamina, while also having been the player so far the season who has covered most distance of all players per minutes played and in total.

Christian Eriksen is always done injustice from the people who aren’t really looking.

Absolutely. Polar opposites too. Eriksen is pure class and shows how a midfield should be run.

Well congratulations figuring out the user name is danish ;).

does that change the content though.
Just asking objectively, do you think 62 in Stamina is fair for a guy who averages more distance per game than any other player on the team ?
It might possibly be the lowest stamina score on the entire united team.

The guy is just top class. Effortless footballer. As others have said such a shame we didn’t sign him earlier.

What an immense acquisition Eriksen has turned out to be. I had high hopes that he'd do a job for us, but I didn't expect him to run the show match after match.

I honestly haven’t paid attention to FIFA stats in about 20 years so have no idea!

He is by far the best signing United have made in a very long while...who knew! I like everyone else thought he was just going to be a bit of a sicknote and play a bit part.

Slightly worried at how important he is to the team, but the squad has had a good rest and will have another rest now as well...so for a while at lease ETH should be ok playing him in every match.

He's phenomenal, it's incredible what he's overcome to be showcasing this level of performance. He had every right to choose Brentford but I'm so glad he chose to join us.

He will be upgraded at first update. At least an 85-86 player with above 80 for stamina; low 70s acceleration and low 60s for top speed. Short passing probably 90 and long range low 80s. 90+ vision.

Fifa stats are fun!

People who are saying we should have signed him when he was younger. He is actually better now as an all rounder.

Earlier in his career he played further forward as a number 10 or out on the wing. Where he is playing now, he is actually controlling the game, playing further back, linking defence with attack, looking up and making sublime passes with his range. Other players know that when he has the ball, they can start running and he will find them. He has released Bruno from his headless chicken phase, so he can play higher up where he is most dangerous. And Erikson can easily adapt to whichever striker is on the pitch, playing through balls for Rashford and Martial, or playing angled balls to the back post for Ronaldo to head.

He is so important for this team, and we are lucky to have him. He is actually a year younger than Kevin De Bruyne, who nobody is treating like an OAP. Yes, he had a defect with his heart, but it hasn't effected his fitness levels. Scholes and Carrick played until they were 37, and Erikson is only 30.

Signing of the season so far imo.

Considering he was a free. We haven't had as technical a passer in midfield since Carrick and Scholes. Incredible player.

Fantastic!

We have not had a midfielder like him in a very long time.

I think he's having the best post-Fergie season of anyone so far, though obviously it's very early. Bruno's numbers were exceptional and De Gea had a couple of great seasons, but I think having a #8 passing the ball this well is worth more than an extremely productive #10 who gives the ball away too much or the best shot-stopping keeper in the world (he wasn't bad with his feet back then either) who doesn't sweep or grab crosses.

Our best transfer in a decade. And being a free, it's probably the best transfer value-wise in the last 20 years.

It averages out some of the over-paid fees we paid this summer.

Maestro. Just what the doctor ordered, couldn't have found a more perfect Pogba upgrade. Our best player this season IMO.

Fifa is hardly the place to look for anything remotely scientific. Their stats are allways all over the place.
