No love here? Thought he was outstanding. Feel like when he’s on song he links us together.

We need to target midfielders with his passing ability. Surround him with other ballers who can play 1 touch football and watch us win games.

He's massively important in these Europa League games where it isn't as frantic as the PL... his class oozes through.

Man Utd 0:2 Crystal Palace New
Decent cameo again yesterday, but he came on way too late to really make a difference.

Not quite, he did let a CP player breeze past him for 2-0, deciding instead to hang around as the fourth security option on the guy making the through pass. If he just tracked that run like a CM should, he could at least have been there to get shrugged of.

Seriously? I just went and watched the replay again. Zirkzee makes a bad pass to set up the situation. Ugarte is then unable to stop the Palace player, shying away from a tackle or to stop his run, probably due to his yellow card. Dalot is taking over from Ugarte but does not really attack the situation, watching from a couple of yards instead of doing something. Meanwhile Yoro is out of position. He doesn´t see the Palace player running in behind him to receive the through ball. Eriksen even points it out to Yoro. Harry sees what is happening, but is too slow to do anything about it. All the while Bruno is letting the goal scorer run deep without a chase. Eriksen is not even close to the situation, nor is it his man at any point. Hard to see his fault here. There was a whole chain of mistakes though.

Ugarte was not on the pitch.

My mistake. It was Garnacho and not Ugarte. But that is not the point. Some users are following agendas against players they do not like, and fans should not do that.

I still think we're a better team when he's in it. Him and Amad are our most intelligent players.

Eriksen expected to retire this Summer

I have nothing but respect for him. Dude almost died and still continued to play at the top level. Came to us, had at least one amazing season.

Clearly doesn't have the legs to be a starter, anymore, but always a top professional, always giving his best.

RESPECT
So, to be fair, this is just an interview with a TV-pundit, who thinks Eriksen will retire.

Really the most nothing-news I've read in a while.

No disrespect but I hope he does retire. He is 32 but looks 10 years older. Unfortunately I think he does not have the physical ability to compete at the top level anymore.

Yes, we should use him more when he is showing good form. A level above when it comes to distribution. He lacks pace and strength but one of the two number 10 positions should work.

Regularly scheduled public service announcement: all transfer and retirement rumors are RUMORS until and unless they happen. Nobody said it was iron-clad fact

Main point was to show respect and love for Eriksen. Retires or not, it is clear he is not in plans for us after Summer so will be leaving one way or another

Leicester 0:3 Man Utd New
Eriksen was shockingly bad this evening. I can only hope he was saving himself for international duty because, outside of the set piece routine, his use of the ball was utterly trash.

Poor from him tonight, still think he’s useful rest of this season and can see him being really handy in Europe.

Really poor 80% of the time then did something good

very Dalot-like actually

didn't really look up for the game tonight.... passive and sloppy

It pains me to say it because I do quite like the guy, but he was awful tonight. Unlucky not to score with that amazing shot in the first half, but looked awful too often in this game. Coming on into the second half of games seems to suit him, or when we're trying to open things up in search of a goal. He doesn't have the physicality or speed or stamina to start games. On top of that, his passing was really off today, which leaves little else for him to bring to the table.

Hope Mount is fit enough to make sure we see very little of Eriksen. He looked gassed 15 mins in, and was nowhere near good enough on the ball to make up for his non-athleticism. Almost scored our goal of the season though.

Not sure where that performance came from. Looked like his focus where somewhere else all game. Usually such a clever and neat player.

His legs are long gone, he doesn't have the physicality to start matches, should be reserved to ~20 minute cameos towards the end of matches.

I think it was a cross. Reinforced when they did the exact same move later on.

Didn’t look good, but we didn’t have too many options. Hopefully we can get a few players back over the international break and have a stronger squad in a couple of weeks.

Uncharacteristically poor on the ball tonight. Weird one.
How is this weird? Today was probablt his worst but he's been dogshite on the ball for the last three years, he can't play in high intensity games at all, which is EVERY game in the EPL. All he does is pass back usually, he cant even receive the ball under any pressure or in speed. Fans who dont follow closely will then call him great on the ball because of one hollywood pass/deadball delivery he makes once in three games. Shame he absolutely ruin our game otherwise by constantly losing the ball or with zero ability to press or run into space in speed. His half arsed play should just retire him from United shirt hopefully, but we are so short of "senior" players Amorim will have to play him again.

He had a pretty good first season until that donkey Carroll injured him. He hasn't really been up to the standard since and has been poor on the ball which is strange given he obviously has great tecnique. Phyiscally however he has been finished for a while.

Dogshit on the ball for three years, which would be his entire time at the club? That's certainly an opinion.

Eriksen has been awful tonight. His passing was atrocious and it seems that his legs are gone. He could have scored a worldy tonight but that was the only good thing from him tonight. He needs to be sold this summer. Him, Lindelof and Dalot need to go, along with Onana.

He was awful. It really is bad that we have him as a starter when are trying to rest players. His passing and touch was his only redeeming attributes, but even they are gone now. His experience and positioning is what is getting him game time. He simply needs to go, and will go.

He's got 3 months left in his Manchester United career, maybe a part to play as a sub / rotation option either in the Europa League where the pace isn't so demanding or in the league when we're saving players for Europe.

Everyone is finished in here asfter a bad game and a world champion after a good one. Eriksen was bad today, and his best days are behind him, but this is not his standard performance at this point. It was just a bad game. The need tio sh.. on players after a 3-0 win is stuff for afterthought.

Think it's like Casemiro.

You can't just drop these guys into a game after weeks off and expect them to be ready. Giggs and Scholes were the same at the end.

They need one game a week to keep the gears greased.

Good point

I checked his duels success percentage and was genuinely taken aback that it was as high as 39% according to Fotmob. He never seems to win any duels at all.

On the plus side, he always seems to have that squinty eyed calm expression like he's having an absolute worldie of a game no matter how terrible he is.
