Does it come as a surprise to anyone that one of our players left the pitch on crutches with that scumbag goon Carroll on the other team?

But why take the risk against fecking reading. This is squarely on ETH.
Moaning about an injury is stupid. Every single minute of every game he plays he could get injured. The only reasonable criticism if picked up a muscle injury due to fatigue. The manager knows how tired the players are and obviously thought he could play an hour. Which he could have.

If we'd have rested Eriksen Carroll would have just taken out Fred or Casemiro or any other Utd player.

He's a fecking scumbag and he went out in that second half to injure someone. It's unfair to blame ETH, there's not much you can do with a fecking giant thug on the opposite team and an absolutely useless ref.

They should be checking if any large bets were made this week on Carroll getting a red card. He seemed utterly determined 2nd half to get sent off.

Hopefully nothing major. Any close up on what happened? Rolled ankle?

Shows why you don't play certain players in games like today, but anyway. Carroll was on a mission to injure someone.

Without the game tonight there’s a roughly 11 day wait before our next meaningful game. If we rested players and they got injured against Palace people can complain about us giving our players a long rest without competitive football.

plenty of our rivals have come out of this fixture with injury concerns. Including the two teams (the only two teams) above us in the league.

it happens.We will be okay.

Paul Ince "The ref couldn't wait to book Carroll tonight." After he'd let him get away with that.

Well then. We actually have to sign a midfielder before the deadline

Ridiculous to play him again. We're in trouble if he's out for a while.

Andy Carroll is a horrible bastard. He tried to do Casemiro in too. Hope it's not too serious for Eriksen but doesn't look good. Give Ten Hag a midfielder and a striker on deadline day!

If it happened in the next game, or the one after that, it’s less of a problem? He didn’t get hurt tonight because he’s playing too much.
Yes, for an argument sake we can say that but this was a match that we were supposed to rest some of our first teamers and the injury happened today. So there is merit in saying Eriksen should have been rested.

Referee was shocking all night, way too lenient both ways, so not surprising he let a two-footed scissor go. Carroll could've been sent off about 3 times. Meat head.

Sincerely believe Carroll was out to hurt our players tonight. Went in hard on Casemiro as well.

I don't know if this is allowed on here and nor do I particularly care - I hope the next defender he faces puts in a ridiculously hard challenge on him. Absolute arsehole.

Should be noted Bruno Guimaraes went off at HT against Fulham in tears and left the stadium in a big protective boot on crutches and he played 90 minutes 6 days later.

So let's not go completely over the top and start saying he's definitely going to be out for the rest of the season.
