He's quality and should help us keep the ball high up the pitch and sustain attacks (which is just the sort of thing Ten Hag will hopefully be looking to instil on the training pitch).

I'm convinced that Brandon Williams hug was the thing that tipped the scales in our favor.

Still don't get it...
Our new manager is called Erik.

Eriksen is the name of a player we're about to sign.

The first half of his name is the same name as our manager.
The second half of his name is "sen" which sounds a bit like "son".

Erik's son is therefore a witty close sounding name.

I'll go into more detail if needs be.

I think because we have signed him on a free, Ronaldo won't be that enthusiastic.

We need to spend big money and show some serious intent.

Honestly feel like he easily replaces Pogba’s creativity plus more. He’s a quality player. Bonus is that he cost zero.

Delighted with this news, always admired him as a player and given the scale of rebuild required a player of his quality on a free was surely a no-brainer.

Provided the deal gets confirmed (I believe it when it officially happens, not when ITK types claim the deals happening one minute, then 'break the news' it's off the next, etc) then I'll be pleased with the signing.

A good, experienced CM who still has a useful all round game but is especially comfortable on the ball with good technique and vision for forward passes. He offers something we're short of in the current squad.

If the signing gets confirmed, then it's a good addition on a free transfer.
ITKs very rarely come out with something as concrete as "verbally agrees to sign" unless there is substance to it. Think this one's in the bag.

I do feel a bit for Brentford and their fans. Not a club I'll gloat at or wish ill.

fantastic signing, really happy about this. Can't wait to see him in our shirt.

I'm not the biggest fan of this transfer overall but it does give us some quality depth in and around the advanced midfield areas. Relying on Donny to do that was a worry. I remain to be convinced about Eriksen in a deep role as some on here claim but we'll see. Slightly surprised at 3 years.

Honestly reading that most of them are pretty reasonable considering, wish are lot was as forgiving.

I liked the post saying he died a year ago now he had a chance to play for United good luck to him.

Says it all really an amazing turn of events

This is a very good signing. He has a good football brain, we lacked that last year. It’s good to see we are adding creative players.

Amazing signing. Love his playstyle, essentially a less risky Bruno. Welcome in!

Not sure where he'll play but we've lost players all over our midfield and forward lines, so I'm sure he'll be super useful. Excellent signing.

3 year deal only disappointment.
Disappointing how? That it wasn't less than 3 years or more than 3 years?

Gotta say i'm honestly fine with not giving 30+ year old players more than 3 years. In fact i'd actually prefer they be 2-3 years.

His name literally means son of Erik. It doesn't just sound like son, it is son(or sen).

VDB should probably leave honestly. We can play all the mental gymnastics we want and pretend we can give Bruno, Eriksen and VDB satisfactory game time but we almost certainly won't. We won't learn our lesson of stockpiling players in the same position and hoping for the best.

I wanted 2 years. United always give out longer contracts, that's why we can't get rid of Jones, Rojo, Darmian until it's gone too far.

Good signing, no brainer when hes free. Especially with the number of players we lost this summer.

Looked good last season, and hopefully can create some chances in them tight games. Turns draws into wins.

I guess he thought it was too good an opportunity to pass up, especially a year ago when he probably thought he was completely done.

I‘m interested to see how ETH will use him.

Don't even give that loser the attention. He'd have been completely forgotten about as a player had he not played up to twelve year old Twitter followers with football players as their profile picture.
