I think on current form he'd be a good target for any of the top clubs in the league so long as they play him in the same midfield 3 system that he's in with Brentford

Only Liverpool are currently playing with a 3 and they have Thiago for that role so theres probably a good chance that if he moves clubs they try and play him in a midfield 2 or in the AM role behind the strikers. And that might see an end to his brilliant form. Or he might be able to still be good in those roles.

You can’t just fill a squad with young hungry players. They need good role models too. I don’t think we will be after him but if we did I wouldn’t complain. Flexible player, creative, scores goals and been brought up the Ajax way. What’s not to like?
Who said you cant? We have an ageing squad, with role models like Mata, Ronaldo and what has that achieved?

My gut feeling is that he will stay at Brentford - they are the team that took a chance on him and it has really paid off. I don't think he will forget that.

This is a signing I really want us to make. Need a squad next season and he is proven PL quality. Free transfer and wages nothing out of the ordinary.

Great attitude, mentality is clearly top class. He would be a great signing. He would get plenty of games and I don’t think we should be playing Bruno in every game. We need to be able to rotate like any top clubs do. If someone isn’t in form or injured we need to be able to switch it up also. Would be interesting to see if Bruno steps up to his best self again with good competition for his spot.

I hope he does, he seems to fit right in and they absolutely love him to bits there.

Out of nowhere he’s reporting this means we might be interested now.

I think he'll go where he gets regular game time. World Cup is important for him I believe

Would be a great signing on a free transfer considering how many players we need to sign. Great Pogba replacement.

There’s some great players available on a free this summer which could hugely aid us in padding out the squad without eating into our meagre budget. I’d take him as a squad option but you’d think he’d be happier playing week in, week out considering he’s been given a second chance and all.

Loving the arrogance - imagine he stays on next season too your whole midfield could be Brentford at the world cup.....poor guy he's too good for Denmark....
Danes call him King Christian - a common name for kings here, and I'd say a bit overrated within the footballing world in Denmark. I tend not to say it loud but I started enjoying watching the national team without him on the side, and his robotic/boring answers on every interview always annoyed emmensely. But I've really ejoyed watching him at Brentford.

Not heard any concrete links for him. Would certainly be a great option. Should have got him from Ajax but Fergie didn't fancy it back then.

He’s nowhere near that any more.

That’s aside from given what he’s been through, he in all likelihood feels a massive debt of gratitude to Brentford (rightly) and wants to give back to them.
I think his performances suggest he’s still very capable. Also top 6, in reality what does that mean anymore, there’s not much between the clubs hovering around from about 6 to midtable

I think we'd be stupid not to be in for him tbh.

I'd wager if he signed he'd be on less money than we currently pay Mata or Lingard.

That comes with all the time off playing for a club in Brentford’s position rather than a side with multiple midweek games, we’ve seen first hand how much performances drop with such regular games. If you’re bringing him in to play once every few games then what’s the point in replacing Mata with him? It’d be like replacing Ant with Dec.

I do really like him and on a free would be a no brainer, but I can't see ETH not using Donny and Bruno next season so I doubt there's room for him.

Would he want to be depth though?
Yeah I think that would be the sticking point. I actually think he'd play more games for us than people think, at least 20, but he's going to value game time more than anything else. I'd love him for his set-piece delivery alone.

Back from the dead, to be a red

Lingard, Mata, Pogba leaving for nothing - why not get him in to bolster the squad?

Maybe then we can take a fecking corner for once

We're losing a lot of experience from our squad this Summer. I'd take Eriksen for sure as squad depth.

Even with their history ETH has his work cut out with Donny as he has shown nothing in English football so far.

On a free signing... we'd be crazy to not make him an offer. Great player.

We don't have bags to spend and we really need a lot of players in with so many leaving this summer.

We’re losing a lot of players and we need to get rid of others. He’s class, experienced, a hard worker and at 30, still has a good 2/3 years at a high level, fitness permitting of course.

On a free, it’s a no brainer.

Does Eriksen even want to join Conte again? He didn't fit into Conte's system last time.

Eriksen probably used as wide playmaker and Bruno's backup if he joins.

He’d be a logical and very shrewd move. Him and Kamara on frees to fill the Matic and Pogba voids without eating into the transfer budget make a lot of sense.

He’s been one of my favourite players since his Ajax days and would likely understand/be able to execute what Ten Hag wants better than Bruno.

Should sign him just cause he is free tbh.

FDJ + Kamara or another Midfielder and Eriksen fills the holes in our Midfields for a reasonable outlay.

Leave money for other areas.

Matic Pogba Lingard and Mata out to offset. I'd also sell Donny to be honest

Hinting at Chelsea? Probably just Spurs top 4 status to be honest but a man can dream.

He's absolute class and i'd have him here in a heartbeat. He's been brilliant since his return. Imagine having a full pre season behind him as well.
Getting him in may also give Bruno the much needed kick up the arse he needs.

So much for the theory that he‘d feel the need to show loyalty to Brentford. Not that I think he should. He did show loyalty to them by giving his all to them while he was contracted to them.
