Christmas Tree Draft - Christmas Special Edition

DRAFT RULES

1. All-time draft with Block list.
2. Initial drafting of 16 players snake style. 11 will be starters and 5 players will be on the bench.
3. 8 hrs per pick. Do not wait or provide extra time. Recommended to leave your pick with others
4. No change in picks after posting.
5. One tactical change per match is possible with 1 sub. In the event of a tactical change, both formation graphics will be shown in the OP.
6. All players selected need to have at least one full match available online.
7. In the unlikely case of having duo managers one will have to be the main debater with the co-manager only allowed three posts per thread to prevent double teaming.
8. All matches to be completed within a week of the draw. No shows will forfeit unless there are serious extenuating circumstances. Even if you can't put together an OP just send a team sheet.
9. In the event of a draw, there will be a penalty shootout.
10. To help avoid fielding ineligible players, please make it known on the main thread if you know a drafter has picked a ineligible player.
11. There will be one injury per team per round so draft accordingly with a backup goalkeeper. Make those 16 picks count.
12. It has to be a Christmas Tree formation.*

* IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING POINT 12 - You are free to get creative with the Christmas Tree formation and various different versions or perversions of it will be accepted

Cheers for the invite, mate — looks like an intriguing draft idea, doubly so with the restricted pool. Unfortunately, I have completely lost the appetite to partake as a proper manager and argue the toss in-game...but open to assisting someone who is an uncompromising so-and-so and can take charge of discussions.

Same here - I never really liked it to begin with, but at some point it just became impossible to do. I loved the short-lived league draft we had going on a while back - no standard match threads (with arguing).

If I get involved with draft games again, I'd rather run one than play one, to be honest.

I would suggest not to have such a big list. Only uber goats should be blocked.

It's a restricted formation already and should be more fun with an open pool.

I'm unlikely to unblock players unless there's a good argument for it. I figured we'd have less participants than the usual 16 so a stricter block list was more appropriate. Willing to relax this slightly if we get more participants but I expected some 'not so shiny' names to feature a bit more in this draft.
