Christopher Nkunku | AC Milan agree £36m deal

The Chelsea transfer team are the real stars at Chelsea. I would bring T-shirts with their names in the Chelsea shop. If we had Felix or Nkunku we would loan them and be partially paying their salaries with them running their contracts down.

Yeah call me crazy but I just can't see the sense in this deal from Milan's side, I don't get it at all. Chelsea had no leverage whatsoever, the guys on massive wages and has been injured since he got there.

Were he a United player we'd be looking at a loan with subsidised wages and a £20m option which would never be triggered, at best.

Really weird.
Have to agree. All Chelsea's business looks like it's done like Chelsea knows what the buyer did last summer.
Buyer: We'll offer 20m
Chelsea: It's a decent offer, however we think if you consider the things you did last summer, remember those little shenanigans, you can pay 40m.
Buyer: Oh, yeah it's reasonable.
Done.

How the feck do they negotiate that fee for Nkunku who's in his late 20's and appears completely crocked, but have the gall to offer the same price for Garnacho who's 22 and injury free?

I hate Chelsea so much.

So what they should do instead, is agree to the cheapest deal for outgoing players and offer the asking price without negotiating for players they're interested in. Gotcha.

Milan must be mental to do that deal.

Either that or their owners are in bed with Chelsea's owners investments and get sweeteners that way.

Milan tried for lookman but agreed to sign nkunku may be initial fee will be low and agreed to pay in instalment. That's the only reason.

Nkunku still scored maximum for us last season albeit mostly in cup games. Problem for him was he had to replace palmer in starting 11 to play in his best position.

I don't know why we spent so much money for him.
3 days to the end of transfer market, unwanted player, contract until 2029, £200k a-week.. Chelsea had NO leverage and we surely could offer a loan + option to buy as Bayern are doing for Nicolas Jackson.

Not good from us imho, maybe we felt somehow guilty EPL teams highly overpaid for Thiaw, Okafor and Chukwueze and so we decided give back some of the money earned..
The leverage we had is that there were several other big clubs after him. So we probably told you that he’ll be sold to the highest bidder.

Haha, spot on. Maybe we need to replace the scouting network with a spy ring?

Criminals dealing with other criminals is the answer to "how".

I was about to say all this how do they do it. 80mil for Nkunku and Omari Hutchinson is crazy. You can't tell me thats down to just good negotiations.

Flourished is a bit of an overstatement. Especially for RLC.

Pulisic had definitely flourished, 56 goals + assists in 2 seasons is quite good. AC Milan have been crap overall but he's been good for them.

If he can stay fit, I'm sure Nkunku would do well. He's a quality player though not sure how he'd fit tactically, I don't follow AC Milan closely enough to say.

Hutchinson was sold last season around 18 mn. Chelsea might get some 4 mn through sell on clause. That's it.

that's more or less what they're prepared to pay for Garnacho, right?

Yea I'm not sure why people here are upset about it, it's good for Utd, we knew Chelsea needed to sell in order to buy Garnacho so it's good news.

Nkunku might have agreed to reduce his salary with Milan. He could have stayed with us but playing time will be reduced with world cup year. So agreed to move on in my opinion.

He most likely agreed to a big paycut, Milan can't offer him what he's making at Chelsea and I doubt they'd break their wage structure for a player with a big health question mark (even though wages are covered by insurance when he's injured). It seems like he really wants to play, which makes sense since he seems pretty healthy right now for the first time in a while.

They signed him for over £50m and are selling him at a significant loss. It's better than we've been doing but hardly anything to be applauded.

What would we be selling him for after the time he has had there is the question we should be asking. Chelsea just have the best selling team on the planet.

Chelsea have done very well in selling Nkunku and Felix for good money. These are the type of signings we would really struggle to get rid of.

Felix case he has age in his side. Two years in Arab league then will move here.

For nkunku he is still good he played six of the seven matches for us in CWC. Palmer happened just in his best position so he struggled to cement his place. He will be valuable to many teams. Bayern tried to sign him Leipzig also wanted him back. Napoli also talked with him. He has value in him.

We have sterling and chilwell still. Those two players we are struggling to move for last three windows.

Nounku hasn’t played for a year. Chelsea valued him at £36mm and they are getting 36mm. That too when he's at £160k a week. Says all about the people who should be selling can't sell.

He's been healthy those past few months for the first time in years and when healthy he's a top player.
And the big difference with some of the bomb squad here is that he was willing to lower his wages to facilitate a move.
You can't complain about the negotiating team (for once) when they got the same amount for Højlund than Chelsea got for Nkunku who's much better.

Outside of a horrible 18 months his injury record is actually quite good.

Nkunku may have had a rough couple of years injury-wise but I feel he's a much higher tier of player than Garnacho

PnL these days is mostly about book value due to PSR. his book value now is most likely ~£30mm given then he was bought for around £55mm 3 years ago, so it’s a profit in Chelseas books
Sure but was still a bad signing to add to the long list…
