City and Financial Doping | Charged by PL with 130 FFP breaches | Hearing concluded | Awaiting outcome

Season is over. Wonder when any announcement will be forthcoming.

It was a 12 week trial. It was always going to take a mimum of six months. I'd argue you need at least a year to do it properly.

There's 130 charges to get through.

My main take is that if they were completely innocent of all of them as they claim, it would have been dismissed and announced by now.

They're 5 points ahead of Villa with a better goal difference, so wouldn't be surprised to see the league try and shuffle a 4-5 point deduction and big fine in now.
:p

5 point deduction incoming now they know that's how many points keeps them in the CL places for next season on GD.

Telling that there isn't even a murmur that Villa might still get CL if City are booted out on their arse like they should be.

City's opponents should get a 1 goal head start for the next 10 years

Maybe they are trying to wait for everyone who remembers the charges to pass away.

Also every time City score the opposition are also awarded a goal as well.
And Pep gets kicked in the nuts. Even when he leaves the club, a big lad called Dave will follow him about checking the live scores, ready to deliver the punishment.

No doubt we'll soon hear who their first signing is as they carry on about their business without a care in the world.

I don’t know what they’re waiting for. Perhaps for them to finish another summer of dodgy transfer business before slapping them on their wrist with a laughable fine.

The media don't even hint at the chance they might not actually be in the CL or even the PL next season, or question their transfer activity, it's just business as usual.

The hold they seem to have on them is ridiculous.

Suspect that’s because they will be even if the IC rule heavily against them nothing will happen for a while because almost certainly City will appeal and possibly even after that they still potentially will be seeking arbitration.

As someone said earlier this is an extremely complex case and the long term implications are staggering. The PL can’t relegate City but possibly they will impose a points deduction akin to how Luton were treated yesteryear.

There is no appeals process in this

It will still be drawn out as long as possible but they cant appeal the decision

If the delay was decided some time ago to make sure the season was fully over then this week would make the most sense to finally see the result announced.

If it isn't this week, then I guess we can determine that there are still legal arguments ongoing. Surely the PL will want it sorted long before the start of next season though. Whatever the final outcome, it damages the PL to keep it going into the build up for next season. But especially if they've failed with the charges, it will be better for them for get the announcement out of the way sooner rather than later.

I'm sure teams like Leicester, Villa and Forest who could potentially have their preperations for next season altered depending on the result, will be particularly keen to find out as soon as possible.

Is there a date when the PL officially ends & switches over from one season to the next (a bit like in FM?). Just wondering because if they announce City are getting a relegation amount worth of points penalty next week but that date is still classified as being part of the 24/25 season, would Leicester have a genuine chance of arguing they should be staying up?

If City are found guilty the punishment they are given wont affect next season as City will likely take it to an appeal that likely wont be heard until well in to next season.

Whatever they decide here is final. No appeals

The longer this drags on, the less I can understand how anyone can support this club.

They are literally destroying football for the sake of pursuing their own interests and expect no consequences for their actions. If anyone tries to get in their way, they'll sue/bribe/do whatever it takes to shut them up.

If United were carrying on like this, I'd have stopped supporting the club years ago.
