Even if they get found guilty will be pathetic punishment
That will just create a situation where teams like Newcastle and Villa will not bother about breaking rules.

Does it really reflect worse on the PL to do something about it than to do nothing at all about City's rampant and abundantly well-documented cheating? Are there still people of sound mind who would look down on the PL for enforcing its rules? One might say that they should have done it sooner, but surely it can never be interpreted as better to simply let the cheating go unpunished and continue with impunity. It's a bit of a lose lose for the PL. If City are found guilty it reflects really badly on them. If they aren't then it gives other clubs free reign to do the same.
You probably can't do what City have done though as fees have absolutely ramped up since City emerged. That will just create a situation where teams like Newcastle and Villa will not bother about breaking rules.
Yeah look how geordies are holding back on spendingYou probably can't do what City have done though as fees have absolutely ramped up since City emerged.
When you have Tottenham throwing 185m at 2 centre mids, who aren't even close to the best in the world, the whole thing has escalated to an absolutely terrifying level.

They started with some smart signings - people getting scared they'd inevitably become the new City.Yeah look how geordies are holding back on spending
Yeah pandora's box got opened by Chelsea in first placeAnd that’s exactly what the Premier League wants. They would jump for joy if they had 20 Man City’s. They don’t give a flying feck about fair competition because if they did they would have stopped City in 2009 the second a nothing club like them signed sponsorship deals that were triple the amount of Real Madrid’s and Barcelona’s.
It's mad when you think that even the likes of West Ham are richer than an AC Milan now.And that’s exactly what the Premier League wants. They would jump for joy if they had 20 Man City’s. Still a flimsy punishmentWouldnt be surprised if the they've been told of an impending transfer ban for 1 year and are going hard on signings this summer to make up for it.

One the 5th or 6th biggest club in London who have won next to nothing in their history, one an all time absolute great club.
I'm sure the other clubs in the league are more informed than the fans about what's going on and why the delay. They'll all wait until it plays out before doing anything. The other clubs in the league should start making noise now about how long this is taking. It's just ridiculous. Yet another summer where they just do as they please in the transfer market with no consequences.
Something has got to change.

I gave up hope of proper punishment ages agoI'm assuming nothing is happening with this still. Giving time for City to prepare for whatever weak punishment they receive. Spend another few hundred million before getting a one year transfer ban and 6 points deducted.
Small clubs don't have the legal firepower to cause chaos for the Premier League. Why have they still not punished these feckers? Quick to punish small clubs but unprecedented 115 charges? Untouchable it seems
Yeah whole thing has been a total farceThe fact the PL waved through Newcastle's owners showed how they still don't give a shit about respect or fairness.
City will probably end up with a 15 point deduction or something. And then everyone will move on.
I scrolled little bit through headlines in past year and half. Love optimism there.
Verdict imminent

How dare you? Their commercial revenue increasing during COVID was absolutely normal.Yeah it's called financial doping
I’m not sure they’d be jumping for joy at half empty stadiums and advertising tickets on the radio the day of the game. And that’s exactly what the Premier League wants. We will get new "deadline". Christmas probably.Right then, with the World Cup done and dusted - are we going to get some sort of news on this imminently or what???
Ah, they need to be allowed to spend 100s of millions on new players this summer before any penalties hit.Right then, with the World Cup done and dusted - are we going to get some sort of news on this imminently or what???
He'll be making another statement soonWhere's that fella from talk sport that keeps saying it's soon for the past year
That’s how they’ve always been. Laughable how people thought they were “smart” with how they buy and how well run they were. The fact they've paid another £22m for a "random" youngster from one of their feeder clubs and loaned him.straight back out meanwhile we're having to be clever in the market and a £35m signing is a key cog.
They can just throw money on prospects and see what sticks. They've currently got £50m worth of youngsters they purchased these last couple of years sitting in another one of their feeder clubs in Reis and Echeverri.
Horrible club, and the FA have been shocking.
You don't have to be smart and well run if running out of money isn't something you'll ever need to worry about, unfortunatelyThat’s how they’ve always been. Laughable how people thought they were “smart” with how they buy and how well run they were.
They've been well run no matter how you cut it.That’s how they’ve always been. Laughable how people thought they were “smart” with how they buy and how well run they were.
Will never happen unfortunatelyI wonder how long this charade has to go on for until the PL clubs call for a vote to banish them?
It's entirely irrelevant. They've been well run no matter how you cut it.
