Club ownership | Senior management team talk

Not the stuff of nightmares - no one will be pleased to see it, but not a shocker either. Pleased to see the freeze on U16 prices too.

The mentions of the importance of season ticket holders suggests to me that they may well push for higher prices for member match tickets for popular matches. I'll wait and see if they shock me on that one when the actual numbers come out and I'm hoping they won't do that "no concessionary prices" thing. That really was hard to swallow, especially for anyone wanting to bring their kids.

Inside story of how the Glazers pulled off the most toxic takeover in English football history
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2025/03/23/glazers-manchester-united-takeover-toxic-background/

If it infers Rock Of Gibraltar is a reason, its just clickbait.

The impact it supposedly had is greatly exaggerated, usually by misinformed posters in love with lore but also by vengeful, siht-stirring journalists whom Fergie saw right through.

The row was sorted by mid-2004 with Cubic, by then no longer the principal, selling up well over a year later in 2005. Cubic also invested further whilst countersuing Ferguson (all settled out of court as both found liable).

The Glazers wooed incumbent shareholders buying their shares for much more their value, paying for them with loans they used our profits to repay.

The idea this is all down to a horse is either a blatant, demonstrable lie or simple gullibility.

Glazers "abused" by the fans. But the the Glazers according to him did not abuse the club.

I'm late to this one, but isn't he essentially indirectly telling the Glazers that they should sell off and walk away?

That if they performed so poorly as owners and can't turn it around, so that the fans abuse them so much, then the Glazers should realize that they are better off cashing in and leaving, that it's what he would do if he was them?

Wouldnt read much into it. He is doing all the work for the new stadium, and pushed the decision to leave Old Trafford. He has to see that through

No, what I mean is that by saying he would leave if he was abused as much as the Glazers have been, he's essentially indirectly telling the Glazers that they should leave the club now because they get abused so much.

I don't think Ratcliffe's considering to leave himself at all. But he's saying one shouldn't tolerate that much abuse, instead move over and let someone else try to do better instead if they can't turn it around.

"Eric Cantona accuses Sir Jim Ratcliffe of trying to ‘destroy’ Manchester United"

Just read the article. You'd forget he was only here for 5 years but the impact he left was unbelievable!

I love his passion but I disagree with him. They are being ruthless but the way I see it, this is 20 years of trying to undo wrong decisions. I do feel for a lot of normal staff that are in the crossfire, though.

While Cantona is an inspiration and an legend, I don't get the impression that he's someone who moves with the times and can tell by those quotes.

I can see him driving a 90s car still.

ha yes, he does give that impression. He seems classical! He's always been like that from what I can remember.

The problem is a Tory cnut who's got not empathy for every day folk and love for the club is trying to make United profitable again. It's all about his legacy.

Blanc is a head honcho within the INEOS Sports division anyway. His involvement at United was likely high level and transitional as they began to shape and mould the new organisational structure.

I don't think that's too surprising. Wasn't he appointed to the board when he became interim CEO?
Yes exactly … but I thought that he will leave in the summer … leaving the position isn’t surprising but the timing is

Anyway I hope this is planned step not just another “ chemistry “ missing issue like Dan
