What is a people director? Do they show people to their seats?
Director of HR has a very specific salary range. People in HR like to make sure that they get as much money as possible, so they come up with bullshit job titles to give themselves. People Director means your role can be expanded to more than just regular HR duties (to include arranging a yearly coffee morning or something other shite) therefore meaning your remit grows, so does your salary.

People Director also means they can now recruit an Deputy People Director, People Coordinator, Person Analyst, and so forth, to keep the other gobshites in the office happy.

I just hope Berrada's missus is checking his old CD collection for Coldplay albums.

Why have they hired a Formula One guy for a football role?

Jobs for the boys FC

Mercedes Cartel
It is pretty worrying to me, although maybe I'm a bedwetter. We’re clearly far behind in data analysis and need people who are experienced in football data. Hopefully this guy is just in charge of bringing in actual football analysts. Just go and get some from Brighton or Brentford man.

We might well be looking at someone from there too

Recently there is a trend in large cooperations to no longer call it "human resources" but instead something like "people and culture". Apparently the point is to treat employees as people and not as resources now. So logically you no longer have an HR director but a people director now.

New name, same job.

Thank you. :)

How much money do we stand to win by claiming the PL Summer Series World Cup? Going to help get that stadium built quicker?

Rubbish article. Lacks all nuance - just peddling to the section of the football supporters that believe this narrative. The only way to deal with these is to call out the journos when their predictions inevitably end up being wrong.

If it's trying to bring a nuanced data driven insights, it should look beyond xG. Compare the entire stat map of Cunha / Mbeumo to guys like Palmer and justify why the valuation should be lower and by how much.

If it's trying to bring tactical insights, compare phase one build up patterns we use and how things work when Garnacho is out there vs Cunha is out there. What happens if we have a vertical runner like Mbeumo and what happens when there's no one to stretch the line.

I've been critical of United's strategy this summer. Many things could've been said -- why wasn't Bruno not sold? Can Bruno + one other CM play in midfield? Is it wise to allocate 125M towards attack when there are so many holes in the squad? Is Amorim a good coach? How much should he be backed? Are the new signings Amorim specific? What exactly does it take to get from 15th -> 8th in the premier league? How much value should you place on the final league position when we wrote off about 1/3rd of the season in the Europa League pursuit?

It does none of that and just rambles on with shallow talking points from the Amorim / INEOS out brigade.

Wasn't there a deadline for when they had to buy more shares, or the Glazers can sell their shares for what INEOS paid for them initially?
Has he first refusal on full control I think at $33 a share or is that what he purchased the 25% on ?
Just had a quick check Utd share price is currently $17 a share

Thanks, if thats the share price, I can't imagine he'd go for further shares at $33
If he really wants to get control he will, he's already paid over the odds on what he already bought and current share prices don't always reflect the actual value

Tier 6 I presume although he has 215,000 followers for some reason

If there is any path towards majority ownership being explored and briefed about it'll be the biggest news since SAF retired.

Its interesting how these rumours come up as soon as we enter the month where the Glazer's drag along rights become valid, I wonder if INEOS have any concerns about the possibility of the Glazers selling to someone else.
