It hard to listen to Jim Ratcliff say what he did when he himself has cost the UK so much. He left in 2020 to Monaco. He was the 3rd highest tax payer. All that revenue is gone. But it cant be all the rich english people leaving for Monoco. He put the blame on someone else. Ego will do that. Then he asked the gov for a massive bailout of his plant. You really cant make this up as no one would believe you.
 
Club Statement is a basic rundown of diversity appointments but with no mention (and condemnation) of Ratcliffe's racist ranting, it all just rings hollow.

Edit: I appreciate there isn't much more they can be expected (by ratcliffe) to do, but we are constantly associated with him, as if we advocate his views.

The BBC led with 'Man Utd co-owner' this morning, as if that enhanced his relevance (it probably did, alas).

The club needs to distance itself from ratcliffe's nonsense much better than it has, though, otherwise the association will linger.

There’s no chance the club is going to release a statement calling out a part owner. The PR team are basically stuck in between a rock and a hard place on this issue.

Rightfully the ire has been directed at the person responsible and not the club, because we all know the actions of one doesn’t reflect the intentions of all.

Every corporation operates the same way. The logic is "if you force us to pay more we'll leave the UK and you'll be left be left with more unemployed"

It's one rule for them and another for the rest of us. They act like they're doing everyone else a favour.

I am an immigrant living in UK for 25 years and paying high end taxes, many times I feel my hard earned money paid in TAX form has been misused when I read lot of stories about how people abuse the system and living on UC with out going to work on purpose.

I believe his point was mainly targeting that part of the immigrants who cheat the system instead of contributing to the Britain.

I am not fully supporting him as I know he used the wrong wording like colonization, but I do think he got a point to certain extent, Britain is quickly falling behind many other countries economically and govt should address it by stopping billions of pounds on benefits and force them to work.

I know he is dodging the taxes now but until 2017-18 he was in top TOP5 tax payers in this country guys.

Out of 9M who are on benefits(UC), it was only 1M immigrants...so he was wrong to certain extent saying its all immigrants behind downfall but end of the day govt has to do something to make this better overall which can help country's economical growth.

I agree with you on some of your points. I'm Canadian and do think the government needs to come up with a way to stop spending tax payer money for those who don't deserve it. I remember every welfare day there would be a line up outside the bank on my way to work and by my first smoke break a couple hours later they would be high and drunk causing havoc downtown. I lose close to 40% of my paycheck on income tax every 2 weeks and to think some of that money is going to pay for crack and alcohol for people who have zero intention of working doesn't sit right with me.

FYI I have worked within the benefits system for over 30 years and I can categorically state that the vast and I mean vast majority of claimants are white British, and almost exclusively the fraudulent, violent, offensive, work shy claimants are white British.

People come here to work and do jobs that most lazy white Brits cannot be arsed to do... BTW I am a lazy white Brit but I do work!

Fellow Canadian here. The European colonizers who founded Canada literally attempted to commit cultural genocide on the First Nations population who were already here through the treaties and residential school system. Now, generations later, the chickens have come to roost, and we need to acknowledge the fact that all non-Indigenous Canadians have benefitted from literal theft.
