It's like the same game again and again and again. They win like that every time. Ridiculous.

You do make your own luck, but feck me. This ALWAYS happens. Play average or poorly and still nick a late winner. Not even United were like this when we had a reputation.

Umpteenth time, not play well and win. Surely this has to end. The even worse part than them winning every game is the myth and the legend their PR media will create of how scintillating football they have been playing. Truth is they have been putting a labored performance for months now but the history will term them the most entertaining side.

The thing is, they nick every game whilst playing in insane mode when not actually being that good. I don’t think its sustainable, they’ve done it flat out for 18 months now and can only see them burning out/running out of steam. For that reason I don’t see longevity beyond 2-3 trophies this season

It's beyond parody. Every week we see Liverpool conceding chance after chance with the opposition not taking advantage, only to see Liverpool jammy their way to a last minute winner.

Would be interesting if someone can pull up any stats regarding how many goals Liverpool have scored after the 80th minute in the last couple of seasons to win by a single goal.

Just give them the fecking world cup.

Liverpool had 3 of their first choice back 4 missing. It was always going to be a struggle tonight.

Salah loses the ball with a lack of strength, it goes straight to a Liverpool player and they score?
Salah always gets the bounce of the ball, even when he dribbles with it. It’s the same as Messi, they just anticipate where the ball will go.

Liverpools luck still not leaving their side. How many times have they won games in 2019 now without deserving it? They will probably beat Flamengo in a simliar manner on Saturday.

That moment that led to the ball had no anticipation to it, Salah had been well defended/marshalled all game, and then the ball bobbled off him and to a Liverpool player. I think that’s good fortune and not a patch on Messi playing at full tilt.

What I saw in the game: VvD, Mane and TAA having a nice summer holiday with a small kickaround today.

Oh and we're in the final of the World Cup. And Klopp made sure we did it in a way that would maximise the seething of Utd fans on RedCafe. :p:angel:

Poor for the tenth time this season but still win. It has to change sometime though. Can't keep on getting away with it.
If you go back through most of our games you'll see that we create more chances in most games. Based on that the opposition is also lucky that we're not finishing better in those games.

Leicester & Spurs are examples of games where we were fortunate to get penalties but dominated in terms of possession and chance creation. There's been a couple like Palace where we didn't play well for sure, and we definitely performed better last season. We're conceding more chances this time around.

We also started today with Henderson & Milner in the back four. We're a bit short at the back right now.

Playera will play, haters will hate. We have reached this point by being an extremely hardworking team, sure we don't play beautiful possession football like City every week, but we are the best at being able to dynamically shift our style based on the situation and opposition. Say what you want about us but we aren't one-dimensional team. Also, people forget that in the last 2 years we have played more games than most teams on the planet. Mane and Salah had like a 2-week rest this summer, after a while, you cant always entertain as much as you want to.

According to the Dippers we were the flukiest team in the world or the biggest cheaters.

Suarez was another one who kept hanging on to the ball somehow despite all manner of weird deflections....

Ever since Karius’ calamity in the CL final they’ve had everything go their way. It’s bizarre.

That's not how football works. There were many better and dominant teams than this Liverpool side that didn't come close to this winning rate. Current City side is still distinctly better at chanced created/conceded ratio. But somehow their opposition gets insanely efficient at times, while against Liverpool teams simply refuse to score, and then concede most ridiculous goals when necessary.

I won't deny there were games we were bang average for the majority of the game only to win it but in most of our comebacks we did dominate the game. Liverpool this season are grinding out results and in many games aren't even the better side. City also scored many late goals in 2017-18 season but they were damn good, I just cannot say for this Pool side.

But this luck thing doesn't hold much weight if we're missing chances as well. Using the same logic the opposition is fortunate that we miss chances like in the Leicester/Spurs games.

I do agree that City are a better side than us but it's not like we're playing terribly every single week and deserving to lose all the time. We're a better side than some suggest.
