What clubs do you wish were back in the top-flight?

I'd love Leeds to be back so United could continue humiliating them.
I've love for Deportivo to be back for nostalgic reasons.
Same for Sheffield Wednesday.

Coventry City - no particular reason

AFC Wimbledon - technically wouldn't be back but it'd be nice if the phoenix could reach the sky

Derby County - with Rooney as manager, I'd like them to erase their history as the worst Premier League team of all time.

Bolton Wanderers - short away trip

Anyone But Leeds.

Bradford, Portsmouth, Sheff W would be great to have back.

Sheffield Wednesday is a great shout.

Leeds one of the only teams we can score 5 past. Solskjær loved a game against Leeds as manager

Maybe Middlesbrough. Would like to see them back up with Carrick on the line.

Preston North End.

Founder members, first champions, first Invincibles and only Invincibles to win the double, oldest continuously-occupied league ground in the world, their talisman listed by many, including Bill Shankly, as the best player they ever saw - SirTom Finney.

I went to school opposite Deepdale and still supported United.

I remember the one where Pogba got 4 assists? Something like that. And Bruno scored a screamer.
Ye to be fair though they had bielsa as manager so they always tried and played decent football which always played in our favour in a counter attacking team. They left spaces

We're playing Leeds this summer in Stockholm so at least there's that

That's amazing history. I can't say I know a great deal about them besides Becks going on loan to them (and Alvaro F).

Agree with this.

It would be nice to have the real invincible's in the league not the ones that lost to us, Middlesbrough and Chelsea !

Swansea City for me. Enjoyed a trip down there but to be fair, I was drunk for most of it.

Oldham Athletic. I used to go with my Grandad, Dad and brothers when I was young and it holds a spot in my heart.

Charlton Athletic. Always thought their ground was unique.

Correct.

I do think the PL is better with Leeds in, probably Sunderland too.

Feel like the major cities could do with teams as well, Sheffield being one of them although I dislike Wednesday and United have been really shit of late when they've been in the PL of late.

They haven't had a PL team yet but I'd like to see a Bristol club (probably City) get there and establish themselves as well.

In England - Blackburn, Bolton, Portsmouth, Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland.

Outside England

Palermo
Catania
Deportivo La Coruna
Real Zaragoza

Millwall. Just for the fact them against the Dippers would quickly become like Mad Max.

Good shout thinking outside the box with the non-PL angle.

I miss the days of Deportivo being a top side, vividly remember those games against the likes of United in the CL around 02/03 with that team they had - Makaay, Valeron, Diego Tristan, Jorge Andrade, Luque etc. Great side.

Schalke and Hertha Berlin both languishing in the 2. Bundesliga as well.

Wrexham, just for the fact I could go and watch Premier League football and walk there.

I'm a Barclays boy.

Bolton, Portsmouth and Blackburn should all be top flightm

Wimbledon.
That Wimbledon team was a horrible bunch. Those stories and documentaries that come out of what the 'power group' did to members of the squad was horrendous.

The horrible things they did to anyone deemed weak, or even tough new additions deemed potential threats (beaten up by John Fashanu).

And all the sly and violent things they did and got away with on the pitch - they'd should have had huge amounts of red cards!

Those stories you hear of the incredibly alpha male environment they created is horrendous - loads of other famous individuals have become hate figures due to allegations of behaviour just as bad as what they did.

Any myth of it being any kind of romantic feel good story should have been ended when people hear just how psychotic and brutal they were both on and off the field - with teammates as much as with opponents.

And I've seen AFC Wimbledon mentioned on here. It should go without saying, but often the facts get ignored in favour of what people like to believe is true instead: AFC Wimbledon were formed and playing competitive league games in 2002, Wimbledon FC were still playing league games until 2004. They are categorically two different clubs. Absolutely no continuation of the old one (apart from the claim of 'spiritually'). So on no account can AFC Wimbledon get 'back' into the top flight as they've never been in it - or the championship.

AFC Wimbledon are Wimbledon. Half my family are fans and have been since before I was born.

You say "apart from spiritually" as if that isn't the most important thing.

Wouldn’t mind West Brom back just for a match under the lights at the Hawthornes. Charlton were a premier league team for years when I was younger, wouldn’t mind seeing them back.
