I stopped watching it. They went a bit too cheesy teenager tv show for me.Still have to watch the 2nd season. Is it worth it overall?

It's in post-production now and I think I remember hearing Dec.2020 or Jan. 2021Has season three been cancelled?
Last two seasons were released around April. Last year it ended on a bit of cliff hanger. Was looking forward to Daniel Laruso and Johnny Lawrence teaming up against Kreese's Cobra Kai.
Probably bc us early/borderline millennials are now the new old farts and boomers who are nostalgic for shit like this.Don't understand why it so highly rated. Watch both season, and it is decent and enjoyable, just not at the rating given on Rotten T and Imdb, but anyway, binge-able and enjoyable nonetheless.
I can’t stop watching it.It embraces it's campiness, and yet gives it an authenticity, which isn't easy to do. You know it's a crap martial arts series, but it does enough to convince you the characters matter, which makes it eminently enjoyable.
No shitI think you lot take it too seriously, it's not Werner Herzog!

I binged season 1 yesterday - the nostalgia was absolutely class. Finally finished season 1. It's cliche'd, stupid, with terrible martial arts ( except for the tournament which was fun) and the best living embodiment of 'memberberries. In short, I fecking loved it. Season 2 tonight for me.
The bad guy from Jack Reacher.Who?
I think the martial arts is spot on for teenager that's just learning karate. Choppy socky. Tournament fights are points scoring so it's actual closer to dancingFinally finished season 1. I felt the same after one episode, by episode 4 the cheese had got me hooked!Watched one episode so far. It definitely captured the 80s level of cheese. Acting is pretty terrible too, but again - it does make it feel very 80s. Not sure I'll stick with it yet, depends on how many freaking flashbacks there continue to be until the show stands on its own merit.
You are going to love the season 2 finale thenFinally finished season 1. It's cliche'd, stupid, with terrible martial arts ( except for the tournament which was fun) and the best living embodiment of 'memberberries. In short, I fecking loved it. Season 2 tonight for me.
No it's pretty horrible. Daniel and Johnny are supposed to be karate experts and yet their body shape and stance is almost always wrong. Usually that would bother me, but with Cobra Kai it only adds the entertainment. It stays true to the original films in that respect.I think the martial arts is spot on for teenager that's just learning karate. Choppy socky. I dont expect them to fight like bruce lee.
While I agree, I think it's also much harder (especially for younger actors) to choreograph a fake fight than it is to go and have a real karate match. I personally think there had been a noticeable improvement by the end of season two and the final fighting sequence (bar the two youngest kids who were still moving at a very slow pace obviously). No it's pretty horrible.
