Cole Palmer

Awful injury record. Chelsea would want ridiculous money. We need players in other areas more. He hasn't been good this season. He has a shit haircut and a gowl face.
 
Mr. Palmer is an outstanding footballer, without question, but who in the squad do we sacrifice to make room for Cole? And at what astronomical cost?

Does anyone see Palmer as a potential replacement for Bruno, who potentially may leave us this summer? I don't.

That’s a great plus! No Narcissus story with him.

He’s just average british looking, don’t need to score goals with his looks.
 
I thought he's class, bit surprised that people don't want him.
Surely option A is Bruno to stay but how much longer? If there's an option B to sell on a high and get Palmer, that is as good as it gets.

Better options out there, and we don't even need him currently.
 
Spending 100m plus on an injury prone player in a position we're already stacked is some Ed Woodward shit. We need at least 2 midfielders this summer, and we're cash poor as it is. No way this gets off the ground.
 
I love Palmer but the injury record is worrying, especially if it’ll be to replace Bruno who has only ever missed about 5 games for us in 5 years

Where is the injury prone narrative coming from? Just this season?

He played 52 games (inc 37 league games) last season and 45 (33 league games) the season before.
 
Great player on the pitch and a funny character. Not what we need though even if Bruno does leave.
 
Like Harry Kane. He’s a Manchester United football player.

Sign him - we can decide how we fit him in after.
 
One of the best talents in European football, definitely. He is a superb player and he may fancy being at United.

Even if Bruno stays, I would try and get him. What a statement that is. Could you imagine getting top four and Cole Palmer signing? He could rotate with Amad and Bruno.

Zirkzee and Ugarte are going. Casimero too.

We need two centre mids, right back, I know, I know, I know.. but Cole Palmer is a fabulous, truly genuine and unique talent.

It's not often we are linked with such players, so we should strongly consider. Players like this should be linked to Manchester United FC.
 
If Bruno decides he wants to leave and we get good money for him then I think we should be all over this to replace one talisman with a potential other. He's almost too good a player to pass on if he wants to come but I don't really think we can entertain it otherwise as I'm sure the finances dont stretch that far.

Think it was Howson mentioned a potential all english midfield of Mainoo, Anderson and Palmer though and that is very tasty.
 
Is this the same Chelsea tactics for Mount, player of the season is available (but don’t tell anyone he is crocked)
 
I guess wants a first team coach rather than a man-ager.

Jokes aside, I'd love to have him here. Such a tidy player, and someone said, unintentionally hilarious in interviews.

But my head says, we need to go for our midfield first. Let's focus on Anderson and Wharton. Then we can get Palmer next year. I just think this year, we need to cook. Build a foundation.

In terms of where he would fit? I would say, a player like him could be a 10 for us.

It would be repeating the mistakes of old, instead of signing the players we need we go and by a player we already have in spades. We need to improve the whole in midfield and it won’t be done with palmer
 
I think hes class but this reeks of Chelsea being happier with the 400 other attacking midfielders they have and and willing to write him off because of his injury problems.
 
Feeling ambivalent about this one. On one side, it feels like a no brainer and like a real United signing of old. One the other side, it feels like another Mount signing waiting to happen.

I know the Chelsea business model/strategy is weird, but why would they want to get rid of him if they didn't have some kinds of concerns about him - either injuries or a feeling that he's only going downhill from here.

Under any circumstances, it would only make sense if we plan on shipping Bruno off in the foreseeable future, which in itself would be quite sad.

They'd probably sell for a hefty fee, he turns out a crock, then they use the money to buy both of Matheus Fernandes and Kees Smit who become worldies.
 
He's quality no doubt when on it, but it seems like the kind of high value flops that plagued us during LVG, Jose years like DiMaria and Sanchez.

I'd be cautious here given how poorly these kinds of moneyball signings are working out at Liverpool, and I haven't even gotten started with his recent injury woes.

They don’t do they? All the reports suggest it’s him who is home sick, not that Chelsea want to sell.

Would be an ideal Bruno replacement. But midfield is still the priority.
 
I'd love to have him here, but not at the expense of two central midfielders.
 
The same injury recurred and he missed more games combined with a big fee is unnecessary risk when we need midfielders. Bruno has atleast 2 more seasons in him then we can explore 10 market again if needed
 
Going to start off by saying I think he’s an absolutely terrific player.

We shouldn’t be in for him; not if Bruno leaves and definitely not if he stays. He’s not creative enough; we already have goal scoring 10 types. If we’re going to replace Bruno it has to be with someone who can create for the likes of Cunha, Mbuemo and Sesko.

The only way it works if we got two very creative midfielders who are also defensively astute and then play Cole, Cunha and Mbeumo infront of them but then where do we play Kobbie?
