Have you lot watched Trent this season? He's as bad at defending as ever and can't cross the road without it going straight to the keeper.

Based on this season only:

Alisson
AWB Fabinho Maguire Robertson
Henderson Pogba
Rashford Bruno Mane
Salah

They’re favourites on Sunday, but no one can convince me that it’s likely they blow us away. We’re unlucky to even have less players than them in a combined team. Could have easily stuck Bailly or Fred in there.

Only picking from those available this weekend, so no Van Dijk/Gomez (both get in otherwise), and using current form if the players are pretty close overall (Pogba/Thiago, Rashford/Mane, Firminho/Martial).

Allison
TAA Bailly Maguire Robertson
Fabinho Pogba
Salah Bruno Rashford
Firmino
How? Maguire is miles better than Gomez as he’s shown for England and honestly Bailly is better too.

TAA Maguire Van Diijk Robertson

Fabinho Pogba

Salah Bruno Mane

Martial

Doubts:

Van Diijk considering that he hasn't played much this season, in which case Lindelof replaces him.
Henderson for Pogba to give more balance to the team.
Cavani for Martial.

The other positions are easy to pick (not counting Thiago yet cause he hasn't played much to show himself at Liverpool).

How on earth can TAA be in anyone’s first 11? He’s had an awful season.
This by a mile. Everyone just going in autopilot mode putting both him and Van Dijk in. Surely this is a team to pick in context of us meeting them this weekend so should be based on form. (Not impressed Wan B neither but been better)

Allison
Wan B - Bailly - Maguire - Robertson
Fabinho - Pogba
Salah - Fernandes - Mané
Rashford

Yes, because none of the main number 9 options on either team have been playing well*, and Rashford is scoring and creating goals at a far higher rate than them. He's also not played "zero" games at center forward this season.

*Worth pointing out here on the back of the guy above me saying people who don't have Cavani in their team are "brain-dead" that he's scored a grand total of one more league goal than Martial, who everyone agrees is looking like a pub player.

Alisson

TAA - poor season and defensively vulnerable but still better than AWB
Maguire - over Gomez just
VVD
Robertson

Fabinho
Henderson - Fred is close but still consider Hendo a better player. Gets in over Pogba for balance

Fernandes

Salah
Firmino - for front 3 connection and balance, pretty close though between him, Martial and Cavani wouldn't argue whoever was picked
Mane - Sorry but seriously can't believe I'm seeing teams with Rashford over him, he's a much better player.
