I know this has been discussed into the ground, but call me the body snatcher because I'm digging it back up. Seriously, why in the feck are we incapable of taking a decent corner? We've got plenty of players who can strike the ball clean, Rashford, Pogba, Mata, Pereira just to name a few, yet none can put in an acceptable corner? It's not even limited to this set of players either, since Giggs retired we've had RVP, Rooney, Di Maria, Young, all very accomplished crossers of the ball, fail time and time again to deliver a corner. Only Daley Blind in the post Fergie years has been capable of putting in a decent corner. WTF is wrong with us?

We do not have a decent set piece taker, its a weak link for us.
Mata was fantastic on dead balls for Chelsea. Pereira is supposedly a dead ball specialist. These are supposed to be top level professional footballers, I see conference teams take better corners than us.

They all use like a sand wedge technique, sweeping the ball which makes it lack pace. The players have to put too much force into their headers. Seeing the same shit on free kicks. Dan James took a good corner in pre season which we scored from, was it Jones with the goal? No idea why he didn't take them today. Shaw on corners? It's almost as bad as Jones.

I think it's time we tried Pogba on corners and long free kicks. Rvp was a threat in the air but took corners for us and got assists from it. There's no point in Pogba standing in there when the ball never reaches
I know a guy in China who can A) defend corners like crazy and B) Score a few even with no.1 priority marking on him..

After Nani spent a few seasons whipping them in low on the first post, we've changed for high hoofers. I prefer us taking short corners - then we usually get something that reminds us of a cross.

I am more confident teams will score a counterattacking goal from a corner than us scoring one from a corner.

Corners are one of the most overrated instances in football. So few goals are scored per corner yet people always expect something.
In order to score from a corner you need a good delivery, good run from the attacker where the delivery ends up but most importantly you need the opponent to make mistakes. You're never happy conceding a goal from corner because it means you messed up a situation where you had time to organize and focus.
