He would start ahead of them regardless of form at Newcastle I think. It would be the worst possible thing they could do to sign him and disrupt their form, all for the sake of trying to elevate their club status.

This would be a great move actually. He could well disrupt the dressing room their and cause some issues, helping us with the top 4 battle. Eddie Howe would definitely be against it but the Saudis might just overrule him for marketing purposes.

You have a player now that is tough to play with modern systems, that almost all of the top teams implement now. On top of that he’s going to whine and create problems if you don’t play him constantly. If he embraced a bench role it’d fine, by we all know that’s not happening.

I don't see it happening though. I can't predict Ronaldo any more because he's become a twat, but I think he'll join a Champions League team as he still seems to see himself as the best player in the World.
But will any CL team make an offer for him? So far it doesn't look like it.
His last real shout has to be Roma. Mourinho is one of the few playing the style he suits and both Abraham and Belotti have been abysmal this season. Reuniting with Dybala in Serie A may be attractive to him and he might well put up respectable numbers which would help to save some face, not to mention the potential of a revenge tie with us in the Europa League if both sides progress.
