Yes, new formation took the pressure off from Ronaldo, he doesn't need to do the dirty defensive works, focusing on his scoring record.

Man united will build up team around Ronaldo and Cavani both at 35-36 years old, Sancho, Greenwood, Rashford, Lingard, Pogba and Martial all the youngest will be benched or sell to accommodated Ronaldo.

Most of all, all the fans are so happy here with his scoring ability, they are not worried about the future of the club.
Perfect example of "how you can twist everything to use it against player".

I didn’t say Ronaldo isn’t getting enough hype. I said the specific goal he scored isn’t getting enough hype.

Outrageous technique and is probably in his top 30/50 goals ever for me.
Yeh I do think it’s one of the best volley of its kind I’ve ever seen.

Err… not sure if they are the future of the club… and don’t be surprise if Ronaldo last longer than some of these players at the top.

:lol:It was one game and a resounding 3-0 win. But yep, we're clearly now going to bench or sell Sancho, Greenwood, Rashford (who came on and scored), Lingard, Pogba and Martial.

This formation is not a problem for Rashford, but for Sancho. Maybe also for Greenwood.

The way he gets blame for literally everything that happens at whatever club he’s at is reaching absurd levels.

If he had gone to Man City and they had the start of the season they’ve had he’d be getting slaughtered. Hell, Juve are currently 9th… if he had stayed there and won them the league there would be more criticism for failing to win the Champions League than any praise, that’s how bad it was.

He can play in whatever formation and do well depending on how the team does and what the opposition does. He’ll play loads of time with Sancho and Greenwood and a partnership between him and Cavani won’t work in some games either if the setup is wrong.

A win against unmotivated spurs players those really wanted Nuno to leave, not a surprised at all, Ronaldo will have no way to move against real time, especially on this weekend against Man City, let's see.

One thing for sure is Man United will definitely miss out Conte and keep Ole, basically tell us, Man United this season will be gone.

Yeah no-one's getting carried away with that win over a poor Spurs. Your argument that we'd sell all our best young players cos Ronnie and Cavani linked up well was clearly a bit over the top.

Do you think Ole has other formation to play if Ronaldo insist 90 minutes?

Cavani is the only striker who can do the defensive job for Ronaldo upfront. 433 basically Man United is basically no pressure to defenders upfront, like playing with 10 men.

Do you think Rashford, Martial, Pogba and Lingard want to see Ronaldo and Cavani 2 old strikers playing week in week out? and they are watching them from the bench and get some 10-20 minutes time for Cavani, as we know, Ronaldo wants 90 minutes. they are no more young can not spend more time on the bench.

Do you think young players like Sancho and Greenwood would be happy too? They were enjoying their first team football, they need match to develop.

2 old strikers occupied the slot for 2, remaining 6 young players only 1 would like each week, do you think this is a good choice and good for the future of the club?

All this supposes that the exact same formation will be used for every single game going forwards, which is obviously nonsense. If you were the manager, would your team selection factor in what Lingard made of the formation, watching from the bench?
If you are paying top dollar for a 36 year old Ronaldo he needs to be used now, not as part of some long-term plan, and his quality still was evident on Saturday. Clearly Ole needs to find a way to incorporate the likes of Sancho, but Greenwood has played nearly every game before the weekend, he's hardly being thrown on the scrapheap like you're suggesting.

It is still too early to judge Ronaldo would bring good or bad to the club, but most of all, as a ''reasonable'' club management, one would not bring in 35 years old and 36 years old players to ''solve'' the club problems, it doesn't make any sense at all, even though they are GOAT one time.

It might temporary solve some problems but it will definitely create more problems in the long run, Rashford show his discontent when scoring goal against Spurs, sooner or later more problems will be appeared.

Signing Ronaldo is definitely a wrong decision for the club, even though he is a legend or GOAT one time whatsoever. Remember my word, we judge it again end of the season.

Incredible but feel embarrassed he’s being wasted here. He’s turned what should have been zero points from last three Champions League games into seven.

Some people who have posted pages and pages of sheer nonsense in this thread should be banned from this thread for some time. @Bebestation

He is the king of the undeserved equaliser/winner. It is unbelievable really. He’s like a walking glitch in the matrix

Single handedly keeping Ole in work.

Ole should be giving him half good wage... And renaming his first born Cristiano.

I see it now.

Hes the reason we are struggling so much. If we took him out, we would be winning these games easy. We should look at the next few games without him. massive CR7 fanboi waiting for bites. Beautiful man!
