Cristiano Ronaldo - 962/1000

This entire league is essentially fixed for him to reach 1000 goals and win meaningless trophies and he's not even gonna do it.

I think he will hit the 1000 goals, but it's going to take him a bit longer than he thought.

Winning trophies on the other hand.... perhaps not.

If his production begins to fall off, they'll tell the opposition to start fouling him in the box more often.

This league has a financial incentive to keep Ronaldo scoring and make sure he scores his 1000th goal in a Saudi League match. They'll help the pursuit of that goal as they see fit.

My favorite is the last loss where he got a consolation goal and smiled like he won the champions league. I can’t wait from him to piss off into the sunset

Legs completely gone, he will call it a day after 1000 or just come off the bench for penalties until he reaches the tally.

I thought the SPL was complete garbage and they're somehow 7 points off with their front 3.

Was the league on a break? For Ronaldo's standards it's taken a good old while to get from 950 to 960.
Thought he scored for fun in those parts.

Yeah, there was a break. He's got 16 goals in 16 league matches so far this season.

Be even funnier if someone steals the 1000th.

I'd expect a Ronaldo style meltdown.
It'd be fecking amazing if he had goals disallowed or judged to be own goals when he's trying to get #1000. Imagine a situation like Lukaku at the Euros where he gets VAR'd three times in a row.

You'd want Michael Oliver on VAR for that to happen.

He needs a few more accidental goals in the Saudi league with his back followed by a full siu celebration to truly cement his legacy. Without that, his career feels incomplete.

40 goals is still a long way. That’s another season and a half at current rate. That’s assuming he doesn’t hit a wall/ gets injured.

He is a madman. Determined to keep going until even Al-Nassr fans are begging him to stop!

Man if he gets any injury that sidelines him for any length of time he's gonna mid 40s still trying to score tap ins and ricochets off his face goals to stay relevant.

Didnt realise the manager is Jorge Jesus. Saw him go ballistic when he thought Cristiano was about to take a free kick from a tight angle and told Brozovic to take it instead.

Apparently wont be in the squad today because he’s on strike due to being unhappy with the way Al-whatever-they’re-called are being run  Another club basically content to forfeit trophies and any meaningful success in favour of enabling him to further pad out his stats and he’s still not happy with that despite taking eye watering sums for the privilege. What a colossal helmet!

Would it be because the manager wants to win games more than keep this guy happy? I'm just basing that on the post above mentioning the manager making sure another guy took a free kick instead of Ronnie

Apparently it's due to a lack of investment this window

They haven't changed their showers in 3 years.

But really, he needs to stop heading the ball, he's been whacking them for 23 years and it starts to really show.

Benzema went on strike last week too. They offered him a new contract with zero salary but 100 per cent image rights. It looks like the bubble's about to burst with money drying up quickly.

Can see him back at Sporting in the summer.

He'd still batter goals in, in Portugal. He's still better than Gyokeres.
