Cristiano Ronaldo - 965/1000

The wankfest for his 1000th goal will be so unbearable. Expect a museum, statue, headlines all over for a week.

What does he do after retirement at 1000 ? Manage Portugal? Social Media super star? Retire to a quiet life in Madeira?

You don't see Messi scoring those type of goals. Instinct. To turn his back away like that.

He will go full right wing conspiracy theorist as soon as he retires.

Al Nassr's first loss in the league yesterday. It will be funny if they don't win the league this season, I think Al Hilal has a better squad depth anyway.

Anthony Robbins-style motivational guru.

Will any of these goals actually result in a trophy?

2 questions.

First. When he gets goal number 1000. Will he retire right away? I have this image of him just walking off the pitch once its done even if its early in the game.

And 2nd are you lot actually watching these games are just signed up for alerts?

1. Nah I reckon he'll keep going past 1000 to the point he can't physically do it anymore. Just to make absolutely sure that his nemesis can't catch him.

2. No way - I'm just here for the alerts and some of the comical posts.

1) I highly doubt it. He will do it until psychically he can't, he won't want Messi having caught up on him.

2) Not watching them. I do however check the scores and sometimes watch his goals if I see he scored!

Did the siu and everything

The thousand goal chase is turning out to be far more pathetic than glorious.
I honestly thought that from the moment he went to Saudi Arabia. What's even the worth of the achievement if a significant share of it had been achieved by sealclubbing against teams like that?

Bit delusional isn't it. No doubt trying to convince himself the quality of the league is stronger than it really is.

Why does it feel like they play every day

I thought this too earlier today.

I swear, I’ve seen Al Nassr playing on TV five times this year alone, but when I check it’s only been two games.

love his movement here - sees it early and angles and times his run perfectly:

They lost and he had a tantrum when he was sent off
