That's hardly news. He's not featured in the AFC CL 2 at all this season, he's rested for the league matches. I suspect he'll play if/when they reach the late stages of the competition.
I just thought it was odd because I thought he'd be wanting to play every match possible to help him reach his total faster.
Yeah, that's an understandable thought but he's 41 with a world cup coming up as well. Can't play 'em all!

Kind of feel if Portugal play him in the world cup it will be at the detriment of the team his legs look gone to me.
I don't know anyone who doesn't have this opinion apart from Martinez and the Lord Cristiano himself
Well Portugal did well in the qualifiers and scored 20 goals. They look a decent side even with him in it. I dont think he will start every match at the WC

Portugal have a great team just a shit manager and that will cost them (if it does) but they can definitely go far

I think he's great, he should get the parachute, in fact, he's so great he should get both parachutes, just in case one of them doesn't work.
Came across some highlights and, unsurprisingly, he looks utterly awful in the buildup play or anything at all outside of his tap ins and penalties. Its so frustrating that Portugal has a great team that will, again, be bowing to his demands.

Almeria had a nice sideline in signing our acadamy graduates on a free when they didn't break through a few years ago. Off the top of my head they signed Ramazani, Puigmal and Svidersky in successive seasons and it worked out pretty nicely for them. Maybe Ronnie will renew the link and we can look forward to the likes of Wheatley tearing it up in the sun over the next few seasons.

Watching Martinez on The Overlap word-salading why Ronaldo is still worth his spot in the national team 11 was quite something. And also contradictory to everything Ronaldo is known for. He said Ronaldo giving one assist was proof he is a team player and was revolutionary for the dressing room. That Ronaldo is more interested in team achievements than individual accolades. PR speak when he probably wanted to say "he's fecked but I have to play him."
He won't care, he'll celebrate like mad.
