Do you actually watch the games or just check the score and post whenever he's scored?

Impressive. What % of Al-[Ronaldo's team]'s games do you watch?I watch most of them live on YouTube.
Now that’s commitment!I watch most of them live on YouTube.

Someone put this on my twitter feed. It might take him longer than expected to reach 1,000…

I'm astonished he's even going to the world cup and that the manager doesn't have the balls to drop him.
He's going to be 42 in less than a year for crying out loud. Please retire. At least from international football.
Nah, that's as quicker as I could do it.Is there a quicker way for you to write his age other than “he’ll be 42 in less than a year” do you think?
The context being, that it is the South African league. We all know Ronaldo is 41 years old now. As a Portuguese fan, I agree he shouldn’t be starting for our national team, which today is one of the very best in the world. But the guy has 26 goals and 3 assists in 31 matches played, and people take some random clip to make it look like he is struggling even in the Saudi league. I will never understand this need to downplay everything a once-in-a-lifetime player does.

No it’s notThe context being, that it is the South African league.
Including goals vs Spain and Germany in semifinal and final of the NL less than a year ago. But time goes by, he is a year older now and he will be even less productive in the team play this upcoming WC…He's got something like 25 goals in his last 30 matches for Portugal.
What do you mean?No it’s not
He’s not playing in South Africa? What do YOU mean? What do you mean?
It's a reference to when Ronnie called Saudi Arabia, South Africa instead. He’s not playing in South Africa? What do YOU mean?
I’m not versed in my CR7 lore clearly. That is quite funny. Sorry I made you explain your jokeIt's a reference to when Ronnie called Saudi Arabia, South Africa instead.

The Saudi League has much better players than the US league.I know this is just a small sample from the game but that looks like Sunday league football. And Ronaldo looks cooked. He is running like a old man with a million miles on those knees. Which he is.
I think that Ronaldo played a poor hand while at United. His ego put him in a position wear no one wanted him in Europe. Then to sooth his broken ego he thought he would do the Beckham and get the big contract and promote a league. Unfortunately SA isnt the US. It's like LIV golf. No one cares. They don't have the people nor the economy to support that league. I never see any highlights or hear anything about Ronaldo anymore. Only in here. Messi on the other hand i hear about all the time. However I am Canadian. And american sports are more relevant here as they are intertwined with Canada.
However again. Seeing that clip and watching some MLS games it seems like the Saudi pro league is miles below. Anyone who watches both feel free to correct me.
A certain player won the Ballon d'Or while playing in the MLS, so this isn't the flex you think it is.They were even able to attract the reigning Ballon d'Or winner, Benzema.
If this isn’t proof of what Cristiano Ronaldo has done for that league, I don’t know what is.
The Saudi League has much better players than the US league.
They were even able to attract the reigning Ballon d'Or winner, Benzema.
They have also attracted some very good players in their prime, like Rúben Neves, Darwin, Cancelo, Theo Hernández, Milinković-Savić, João Félix, and Coman.
On top of that, even top prospects like Gabri Veiga and Roger Fernandes have gone there. Then you have players like Mahrez, Firmino, Mané, Kanté, Brozović, Fabinho, and Otávio, who may be past their prime but are still very capable players.
If this isn’t proof of what Cristiano Ronaldo has done for that league, I don’t know what is.
Pointing to random players and claiming the league is better is pointless. Might as well say China has at times been better than both.
MLS is a top 10 league in most rankings. Saudi Arabia isn't even top in Asia, Japan's overall quality (not picking a couple choice teams) is superior.
No, they are just there because of the nice weather and the chance to play with or against Ronaldo. In all seriousness, the top Saudi clubs might be better, but MLS is a better league top to bottom. You don't think its because of the ridiculous amount of money they are offered?
Random players? All of the top five or six teams have far better players and coaches than any team in the MLS.
Suárez is still playing there, and he’s limping because he basically has no knees.
Of course, players are going there because of the money - that’s a given.
But the money was always there, and they only managed to attract truly top players after Ronaldo went there. That’s a fact.
As for MLS having a Ballon d’Or winner, he was actually at PSG when Argentina won the World Cup.
The only reason Messi won the Ballon d’Or that year, despite a mediocre season at PSG: MLS had nothing to do with it.
It’s really annoying how there’s such a lack of objectivity when people debate anything related to Messi or Ronaldo.
It’s like you have to downplay their achievements to argue that one is better than the other.
They are both once-in-a-lifetime players, and anyone can have their preference while still appreciating the other.
I only wish we had another pair of players like them in their prime today. It was a blessing: just enjoy them both.
Yeah, but Benzema's Ballon d'Or had nothing to do with the Saudi league either. You can't use Benzema as evidence of the Saudi league being amazing compared to the MLS because he was the reigning Ballon d'Or winner when Messi won his last Ballon d'Or after going to the MLS. And he won the Ballon d'Or the year before Benzema too.The only reason Messi won the Ballon d’Or that year, despite a mediocre season at PSG: MLS had nothing to do with it.
