To be fair to RonLander just because it’s not a top top league it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t matter. He might genuinely feel a sense of accomplishment just by getting his team a trophy / himself another accomplishment, especially as he hasn’t won anything in ages.

Yes, but there is a part that has to do with him being in the receiving end of many puns, memes, lately and he is perfectly aware of that and he always had a hard time dealing with it.

It's pretty obvious the gist of the first post you've answered, yet since you look being genuinely invest and serious...I think the first post was mostly reffering that even if today still a fart from Cris, or Messi gets covered, most football fans, specially neutral ones (meaning also those who are not fans of both) would not be that much interested. Their last chance to actually people following their games in a more massive way, it's when they are in the NT.
