Good thing about the album is that it will hopefully encourage people to rediscover the golden age of funk and disco of the 70s and 80s.

Fat Larry Band
Kool and the Gang
Rick James
Sugarhill Gang
Mary Jane Girls
Oliver Cheatem
Mtume
Barry White

to name a few.

I listened to this earlier (well most of it) tonight and I thought it was f'kin terrible.

I was expecting something upbeat at least but by time I'd turned it off I was already checking how many paracetamol I had left in the bathroom.

If this was their first album nobody would've batted an eyelid.

The small glimmer of hope that I was ever gonna watch them live is now gone :(

I mean it's been all but confirmed for ages. Always great to listen to though.

As someone on Twitter just said...

Not doing your job for 7 years, and then announcing that you're not doing your job anymore is a pretty baller move.

And I was hoping there was something new waiting for us, when I saw them trending. :(

Nooo :( . Seeing them live was one of the things I've always wanted to do. They are only 1 of the 2 people I'd ever seen live. Feck sake! Maybe they'll do it way down the line. I hope.

I was at the Alive 2007 recording. One of the best nights of my life.

Having said that, they’d not made anything good since then.

I think they might come back after a few years apart. Probably going to split and do solo stuff and then come back for big reunion tour

I'm pretty sure one of them developed tinnitus years ago. Thats not to be fecked with and is, as far as I know, irreversible. Take care of your hearing people. Use earplugs or coverings in every loud place that you are exposed to loud noises and keep the headphones are a lower volume.

Such a great song. And such a great concept for a song. I love the story about the three different microphones they used to record Giorgio Moroder.

No sane human being cant ignore the fact that random access memories is one of the best records in the last 10 years. I listen mainly to metal and prog and i still appreciate that one. Awesome album

for years I was by put off by Get Lucky - that song was so overplayed. Visiting it some years later, it’s a brilliant album.

It’s a Decent enough album. But it’s nowhere near as good as everything else they did. I don’t listen to anything on it anymore. It was good for a year, it’s not a classic by any estimation.

This makes me sad but reading this makes it look like they've died! Hopefully they'll make a comeback album.

Discovery must have one of the best runs of songs to ever start an album.

One More Time
Aerodynamic
Digital Love
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

So good.
