This guy is the next big thing. Leader of both Dinamo Zagreb and the young Spanish team.
We must go for him any means necessary, we must get him.

You want to sign someone of genuine world class, this is the guy. He will be obtainable for under 50 mil. You go for someone like Madisson, you will pay around 70 million and Madisson will never be as good. Decent player but not world class.

Olmo should be a priority. And yes Dinamo Zagreb isnt the biggest team in the world but Olmo is clearly the best young Spanish player and Madrids and Barcelonas finest play there so yeah, not exactly like he is unproven. He is someone we must go for. I would hate if he ends up in Madrid or Barcelona.

Reports say they refused a 30+ million offer from United
Yes but croatian paper has tendency to exaggerate with their figures. Look at the actual figures they sell all their best players for

Maddison was class today. He's also a Manchester United fan. If we are interested, I reckon we have a good chance of getting him.

I don't know much about Olmo, is there no way Olmo and Maddison could play in the same team?

Keep hearing about this guy in footballing circles, I just hope this isn't a case of us missing another good midfield prospect. If he's outstanding in his league and has shone in the U21 for Spain I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be targeted in the winter window. The state of our midfield it's laughable and apparently Longstaff has started the season slowly maybe our scouts can finally do their jobs in the centre midfield.

His contract is up next summer. A January bid should make Zagreb see reason.
His contract is up in the summer? This is a no brainer then, I hope we are already letting his agent know we want him

Nope, his contract expires in june 2021.

If only was like that, but he still has 2 years left on the old contract. Think that anything in the range of 35 million euros and above that would see Dinamo selling him, but they won's settle for less.

We should pay it, thats a decent fee for his talent and level.

35-45 million and he will be gone. This is someone I would legitmately overpay for though if we gotta compete against the likes of Barcelona, Madrid and whoever else for his services. I dont care how much is it, I want Olmo. He is much better than Madison IMO and Madison wont cost a penny under 70 mil.
Olmo for 50 I would still do it. Im sure it will be a bargain over time.

Not likely to go to Spain this year. Barcelona need to sell EUR 85m worth of players to stay within financial fair play bounds. Real already overspent on attacking midfielders.

If that's the case we'll overpay for Maddison while someone else gets a great deal on Olmo.

He looked ok for Spain at under 21 level this summer but he wasn't their standout player. Ceballos and Ruiz were better. Napoli are tough to negotiate with but Ruiz would be a top signing.

2 years younger, thats a lot in that period, he will be world class player. What speaks about his charachter is that he came from la masia to dinamo for first team experience and a first stop in I Think phenomenal career and he learned fluent croatian

I think Ruiz will end up a top top player. Not sure about ceballos and I didn't see enough of olmo to make a judgement

Never seen him play - he’s meant to be a good player but I’d be wary about adding another young player to our frontline and expecting them to perform.

I watched every game at the under 21 Euros this summer. I certainly wouldn't rule Olmo out but I didn't personally see anything that screamed he will be World Class. That said his age and temperament are favourable (as mentioned) so I'll keep watching.

Now back from injury, it will be interesting to see how Stengs does this season.

according to the most popular Croatian sports journal, Manchester United and Borussia had scouts watching Dinamo vs. Atalanta in Zagreb, specifically targeting Dani Olmo (apparently there were dozens of scouts targeting a bunch of players, but only for United and Borussia they wrote that they strictly came to watch Olmo play in Champions League): https://sportske.jutarnji.hr/nogome...kusu-su-bila-jos-petorica-dinamovaca/9375731/
Just saw the full match and I'm officially on the bandwagon, he was brilliant, MOTM for me. His dribbling is so neat and he's very creative. Looking forward to watch him vs City, I hope the rumour is true.

It's a farce if we don't go for this guy in January. He can play no.10 and RW equally well, two birds with one stone. At the worst he becomes a great rotation player, he's lightyears ahead of Lingard, Pereira and Mata.

I hope we do, just can’t really see it myself. We might not want to pay what they’re asking.

He's definitely a gem, and reported to be worth around 40M, disappointed we didnt go for him in the summer, hopefully Ole is still interested

Been a farce for years now tbf.

Olmo and Fernandez would have been such good business...

If we are out of CL race by January, we should try to get him. Chances are Sancho won't be coming here if we don't have CL.

Get him regardless I say.

We're devoid of quality & creativity from midfield, he's capable of playing in multiple positions where we're weak and he'd reportedly cost less than our man Fred.

What's not to like ey.

I think we need to get specialists and not versatile players. We have been buying them and doesn't work

Fair point and I agree wholeheartedly. He's a pretty specialist #10 if I'm not mistaken? Just capable of playing elsewhere.

For sure we need to be buying square pegs for square holes, no doubt.

Dinamo barely could keep possession, so i would be surprised if he touched the ball often. I have seen snippets of the game, but away to the Etihad with that team is not the time to shine.

He was good in the middle early in the first half, had just a few touches but you could see he's good at findind spaces to attack with his dribbling and composure. Then he was playing as a RWB until the end.

MOTM performance vs Shakhtar away. It'll be crazy if we don't go for him in January considering we have Lingard, Mata and Pereira rotating in the CAM role and Gomes receiving rare chances.

The more we talk about him on here, the higher chance there is of us signing him in January right? This should boost spirits -
