Happy for him he can resume his career.
Glad for him. We should of let him go a while ago.
All the best Matteo.
His contract finishes next June.
For all the use we made of him we should have sold him last season.
Looking forward to half a dozen new threads about how dumb Solskjaer/United are for selling Darmian without a replacement.
Press say he will join Parma tomorrow.
Good bye sideburns.
Isn't it euros as well?
Have you looked at the exchange rate recently?
That's about £250m now.
€1.5m, holy shit, however poor/average he might be that is an unbelievable bargain for them in this market.
1,358,643.93 Pound sterling
More money to stash under the mattress for the Galzers
Wages off the books. Good news for those that receive dividends from the club and a nonexistent player gone so some youth product will get a chance.
No idea why he's been here for so long - best of luck to him
Would you buy him?
Bargain. He's actually a decent defender, he'd walk into a lot of PL sides! Just a bad fit for us.
Basically had to give him away
yes, if i was an Italian club needing some depth.
Another stupid mistake by Lord Woodward by not letting him go last season. The buyers offered like 8-10m as far as i remember?
Good luck to him.
If people think he is a bad player should rewatch the final vs Ajax or the games when he was used as a 3rd CB. He is just not suited as a full back in PL. He was never awful like Young has been there though, only in a few games.
We really derailed his career to recoup money, then gave him away.
I'm surprised someone actually paid money for Darmian. Some posters even thought he would go to a big club but it was never happening.
Happy for him.
He's been wanting to go back home for a while.
Sooo looking forward to:
Darmian - Parma watch thread
Smalling - Roma watch thread
Lukaku and Sanchez - Inter watch threads
Good to know that he will be finally free
Well, at least Darmian will forever be a part of the list of players who scored for Man Utd in official matches. 1 goal I believe.
I fully agree with this departure. We should have sold him last season though
Nothing wrong with Smalling and Sanchez threads, they're still United players.
Another resounding success from the board, 1.5m after 2 years refusing to sell him for a low price
No more posters mixing up Darmian and @Damien
Tbh, the latter needed to go.
Don't remind me..
I mean, he's a fine defender - not just great for us/the EPL.
Its bloody strange
Good, hope he does well at Parma.
Yeah, I'd happily drive him down to Parma.
So rewatch the handful of games where he was decent but ignore the other countless games where he was hopeless?
Nah all players have purple patches even buttner had decent games.
Darmian has had good runs like the tail end of 16/17 but for the vast majority of the last 4 years he’s been absolutely dreadful.
If people think otherwise then they have to consider the fact he couldn’t even displace former wingers in their mid 30’s like Valencia and Young. That’s the harsh reality of just how good Matteo Darmian is.
Separate names with a comma.
