That was just dominant from Smith, cause Dimi didn’t do that much wrong.

He’s such a joy to watch when he finds his groove. 110 average or something like that, just ridiculous.

That was the best night so far with some great performances from Asp, Smith and Dimi.
That deciding leg from MVG was the worst I've ever seen from him.

Weird game that, Dimi didn’t even play all that badly but only held 1 of his own legs.

Strong comeback from MVG after that disastrous 3th and 4th leg.

Seems like cold hands is an issue in Exeter tonight.

Happy for Dimi, at times he’s really showing that he belongs amongst these guys.

Especially Dobey has been disappointing (other than Wright) - all first round exits after his Wk 1 win.

Uk Open starts today
Who's everyone's tip?
Outright winner, e.w chance?
I was thinking Luke Humphries before and his chances are even better now. The format is closest to the Euro tour where he's had ssucces and you think it's only matter of time.

I like this tournament. It has a frenetic pace, no lulls in action and the free draw can be brutal. Makes for some random finals of variable quality though, admittedly.

Be well earned if he can do it, MvG next!

So many twists and turns between Dimi and Anderson.

Just watched it all and shame Ando missed those doubles in the last two legs, but good to see him back playing well at least.
Wright following up a 180 with a 26 summed up how's playing at the moment.
MVG should be good and Cross going under the radar.

The deja vu when Smith starts with two times 180 against MVG

hey guys

I was wondering how high the viewership is in the UK for darts tournaments?
I heard in Germany it draws millions of viewers, insane!

I think it depends on which channel is covering it.

I doubt many tournaments, even on free to air TV get seven figure figures.

Just cheated and Googled it - sounds like the World Championship finallast year got just under 1.5M viewers but I don't know if that's UK only or worldwide.

It's a much more popular sport than it was 25 years ago, I bet the last few World finals before the PDC was created probably didn't even get to half a million.

Is it still growing and would I expect viewing figures to go up? Probably not.

It does feel like it's gone a bit stale over the last few years, although Smith winning the Worlds in January was good for the sport.
