BILD are linking us to the signing of David Raum. Apparently they mention Newcastle and West Ham as well. I can't post the link to the BILD article because it's behind a paywall so this will have to do:
He plays as a left fullback or wingback for Hoffenheim.
I have kept an eye on him since last summer when i noticed his crazy stats in the 2. BuLi. 15 assists in 34 league games as Greuther Fürth were promoted to the Bundesliga. This was his first season in the BuLi and he finished with 3 goals and 13 assists in 32 matches (Transfermarkt, other sources says 11 assists). His impressive performances earned him his debut for the german national team and it seems he hasn't looked back, establishing himself as a contender for the starting spot at the World Cup.
He has mainly been linked with Dortmund in recent weeks but also as an alternative signing to Cucurella for City in recent days. Juventus have been mentioned. I know us and Newcastle etc could very well just be used to put pressure on Dortmund but i wanted to make the thread regardless. Just like with Vitinha, this potential signing excites me so lets dream.
This guy can cross. I just want us to have attacking threats from fullback and this guy fits the bill. He has adapted to every level he's played at so far and i think he's ready for a step up. It would be a shame if we miss out on him but i also understand our priorities might be on other positions this summer.
