Dean Bowditch

Yeah, he plays for Ipswich and is a member of the England U-16 team.

He's one of the top players there but the new Owen is a big exaggeration.

Why do you ask?

Cos we're linked to him.

Manchester United have made discreet inquires about Dean Bowditch, on schoolboy forms at Ipswich. The England Under-16 striker, just 15, has been watched by United scouts and glowing reports have reached manager Alex Ferguson. United would have to pay compensation if Bowditch declines to continue at Ipswich.

From what I've heard he's probably not good enough. He's playing as a right-sided striker for England and as a CFWD for Ipswich's U-17 team.

Apparently he's a very good goal-scorer, but not much more.

Another Ipswich youngster worth looking at is Darren Bent, only 17, and has already played and scored for their first team. Has great pace apparently. Ipswich had a good youth side last year and were only knocked out in the semis of the FA Youth Cup against eventual winners Arsenal.

Roy,

What about Kevin Townson of Rochdale ? Heard anything about him ?

hello Roy...you seem to know what your talking about. Thats nice to no. I found the original story in the sun. Raoul must have read the same story ..( hello Raoul):
The problem is..i find the info here much more reliable than the sun. so when they say "the new Owen" i want to know "well is this guy that good" and its people like your self that can shed the light on these things.
carry on the good work.
