A shame for the lad. Anyone watched many of his games up there? Had a look at his stats a couple of months back and saw he'd played a few games at LM. Not heard much about him at all.

What is the next logical step for him?

how is Championship rates vs Scottish league? Maybe EPL loan or at first team backup to Shaw?

He's getting nowhere near a PL side. He can't defend for shit and is constantly injured. He'll do well to find a Championship club willing to take the risk and give him game time.

He was superb in his first season at hearts. This season he was really poor before his injury and was dropped. He has talent not sure he has the application though

Was never in favour of him inexplicably being turned into a defender in the first place, but that’s the judgement of his coaches I guess. Don’t see why he’s still being mentioned for the first team though, he’s a million miles away.

Think he has potential as a LB, and certainly as a WB. Don't think he will get many chances at United though, unfortunately. He should be loaned to a Championship team.

If he is happy to stay then he will be cover and competition for Shaw at left back, which we need.

However he's gotten used to regular first team football over the last two seasons so he might leave to get that somewhere else.

It was worth a shot to try him as a defender. He couldn't get a start for the reserves who had a dearth of attacking options. He just wasn't good enough to be a first team forward at United.

He showed some real promise after being converted to full back. Things obviously haven't worked out for him this season at Hearts and he hasn't been able to kick on. But it was worth a shot. It gave him a chance at a senior career at United but he couldn't take it.
