Cannot wait to play this.
Patience and perseverance is needed. You will die, a lot. You will end up playing the same sections over and over until you finally learn all the enemy locations and attack patterns. Is this good if I’m shit at games like this.
Honestly early doors it's much easier than Bloodborne if you played that? The higher fps also helps a great deal in these games for reactions. It's so responsive. Is this good if I’m shit at games like this.
Do you think?Honestly early doors it's much easier than Bloodborne if you played that? The higher fps also helps a great deal in these games for reactions. It's so responsive.
Yep. People who say they can't tell the difference and fps doesn't matter should play 5mins of Bloodbourne then try this.Worth every penny for the visuals alone, it's truly what you'd call next gen. Gameplay is so responsive, especially on performance mode.
I think so anyway. Took me ages to kill that dog creature at the start of Bloodborne, where as I've glided through this so far. Famous last wordsDo you think?
Personally find this more difficult, but that may be an artificial difficulty due to no checkpoints so each death feels worse.
Also it doesn't help that I kept pressing square to attack. I probably shouldn't play Spiderman before I play this.
The Dragon torched me last night and I turned it off. Do you have to bait to breath fire twice? It killed me mid way across the bridge when it only did it once.I think so anyway. Yes, but so far they're not like Souls. The shortcut i opened last night requires you to fight your way upstairs against multiple enemies with flaming swords. Theyre not particularly difficult to kill but I can see them overwhelming you if you're not careful.Though there’s no checkpoints you can unlock doors etc for shortcuts throughout the level can’t you?
Absolutely man, night and day. The lighting is what really caught me off guard at the beginning also, was really blown away.Yep. People who say they can't tell the difference and fps doesn't matter should play 5mins of Bloodbourne then try this.
The difference is absolutely huge.
Check out the tessellation on the bricks all over the walls (makes them actually look like bricks sticking out, to all sorts of different depths). It's overall a thing of beauty, real next gen stuffAbsolutely man, night and day. The lighting is what really caught me off guard at the beginning also, was really blown away.

Not at the moment, no. Locked at 30fps.Can’t fecking wait for this now!
Out of interest, will Bloodborne FPS be improved on PS5?
It was. But the stairs back down nearly fecked me before I even got to him.Phalanx was surprisingly easy

And it actually struggles to maintain that at the moment. Not at the moment, no. Locked at 30fps.
Have you upgraded weapons and levelled up your character with those souls?I don’t know how long I’ll be able to last with this. I really enjoy the game but having to start back at the beginning when you die is so annoying! Perhaps is something I’ll just become accustomed to as i progress through the game
Also all the items available to buy seem pretty average at the moment - I take it this improves? I had about 10,000 souls and felt like I didn’t need to buy anything.
Do you want me to come round and teach you how to play it properly?I don’t know how long I’ll be able to last with this. I really enjoy the game but having to start back at the beginning when you die is so annoying! Perhaps is something I’ll just become accustomed to as i progress through the game

Yes please!Do you want me to come round and teach you how to play it properly?
Ja, but I got burnt to death by that bastard dragon when I was trying to collect some treasure. I can’t wait to kill the cnut. The blue one looks friendly though.Have you upgraded weapons and levelled up your character with those souls?
Buying items from the shops is rarely worth it to be honest. Arrows the main thing, some healing items if you're low. Most souls you should spend leveling up, or upgrading the weapons you like using.I don’t know how long I’ll be able to last with this. Like all souls games you use the boss souls to make unique weapons, or spells. It's rarely worth using them just for souls.Just got annihilated buy some spider boss.
Also I still have my lead demon soul from Phalanx - do you just use this for souls or is there another use for it?
Thanks Lammy.Like all souls games you use the boss souls to make unique weapons, or spells. It's rarely worth using them just for souls.
Lady with pancake on her face.Where do you level up on this?
