Did Andy Cole make the right decision?

Maybe

If RVN was fully fit tho and didn't need a rest I reckon you'd have played with him alongside OGS..

Don't think Forlan will start many more, if any, games this season

Demento prefered to move your midfield about than play your third choice striker from the start..

Luckily for you Leeds' defence was terrible

Of course, it's always down to the opposition when we do well eh? Nothing to with the fact that Scholes, Giggs and Keano were fantastic

Our panicky team?

Basically, in a few hours today you've managed to claim/indicate that:

- Man United was wrong in selling Andy Cole
- Dudek is by far a better goalkeeper than Barthez, in fact he's the best in the world
- Man United were lucky to beat Leeds
- Man United is a panicky team
- We will get hammered by Deportivo tonight
- We would probably not have had a chance against Bayer Leverkusen
- We only beat Leeds because they were bad
- Forlan is crap

I'm sure I've missed out on something. It's amazing that a team in such a dismal state can produce such thrilling football, loved and admired all over the world.

After the fantastic game of football witnessed by millions of people on Saturday, all Davo can do is criticise the defenders. You would have loved your team to play the kind of football Egil Olsen advocated Davo!

No need to get all touchy..

There's been plenty of claims/predictions made today, you just choose to follow me around...

Which of the above that I've claimed do you disagree with?

No need to follow you around - you're like a parasite on this forum. And my emotions don't change due to a web forum; unlike you I have got a life, and do not need to live it through the cyber world..

What I disagree with?

- I believe, as I've said above, that Man United was right in selling Cole under the circumstances and conditions
- I don't think Dudek is a better goalkeeper than Fab. Both are extremely good goalkeepers, and IMO when Barthez is his normal himself he's in the top 3-4 in the world.
- Leeds were lucky not too lose by more than 1 goal, rather than Man United lucky to beat Leeds.
- I don't know what you mean by us being a panicky side.
- Totally open game tonight, could go either way.
- I think we would have a very good chance to beat Bayer Leverkusen.
- We beat Leeds because we played some fantastic attacking football, and had some outstanding players in Keano, Scholes and Giggs
- Forlan looks promising to me from what I've seen so far

Your mood clearly does change...as shown by your need to go for the "I've got a top life blah blah" lines, you always seem to do it when you appear to get a lickle bit annoyed.....weird....yes Midlands you've got a great life and therefore are never on forums eh?....

- Selling Cole has left you short up front...therefore its a fair point to question the timing yes?

- Dudek has been much better than Fab this season, therefore it doesn't seem that strange for me to defend him in a thread where he was attacked by Murt?

- Both teams had further chances to score, Leeds dominated the majority of the play and defended very poorly for the goals...

- You looked panicky at the end of Sat's game, its not just myself whose pointed this out

- Could do, but a prediction for a Deportivo win is not exactly going against the grain is it? So why the moaning?

- Yes you would have a chance against Bayer...I was pointing out to someone that they were not quite the nobodies being claimed

- yes you did, and the fact that they defended poorly helped

- He looks a poor finisher to me...we shall see

So nothing really that controversial eh? Just a bit down at the moment are you? Rattles ready to come out of the pram...

It amazes me how you try to analyse people on here. Yes I am on forums, but not half as much as yourself. And no, nothing on a football forum would get me to change my mood - honest to god, I'm not that shallow.

- If I'm not mistaken, we've scored 110 goals this season. Is it fair to say that this suggests that Cole is anything but missed, and that his departure has given Ole a great chance to establish himself as a regular?

- van Nistelrooy have been far better than Owen this season. Does that mean you reckon Ruud is a better striker?

- Leeds dominated about 20 mins of the first half and the last 20 mins of the game, the rest of the game we were the better team. Did they defend porrly, or did we attack superbly? The move for Scholes' goal was one of the moves of the season!

- Most team would look panicky in the last 5 mins when they have been 4-1 up and the other team has been boosted with 2 goals. If it had been you you would have said how great you defended the last 5..

- I'm not moaning at all, feel free to predict whatever you want!

- I think that person was being sarcastic if I remember right..

I'm not down at all, just pointing out some stuff that me and other people do find annoying. And please stop the part-time cyber psycho-analysing

errr....I'm doing the analysing here? Am I the one desperately claiming how great a life I've got off the forum or how some are sad for using them, although you're obviously never here?

- and you're still short of a proven striker up front? Do you not see this point?

- no, but he's had a better season re goals.....tho Owen has had injuries which obviously haven't helped...

- Yes the Scholes move was good, helped by poor defending by Mills, lucky break for OGS and comical defending for Gigg;s goal...do you disagree?

- We wouldn't have gone from 4-1 to 4-3 vs leeds

- You are moaning, what was this and your "I love Niall" threads about if not moaning?

Its about opinions Middy, thats the way forums work...if you don't agree with mine either say so and why or just ignore them....

I'll remind you of how you whinged here next time something good happens to Man Utd/bad to Liverpool and you revert to your gloating self...

If that ever happens of course

re Andy Cole. I think it probably wasn't a bad idea to cash in on him but certainly feel that you are a little short in the striker front now that you are effectively down to 3 out and out strikers, one of whom hasn't got his feet properly under the table. Find it very hard to fathom that AF was handcuffed into not signing Di Canio because Yorke refused to join boro. What happens next year if Yorke is still there? do you still not buy a 4th striker? after all you were the orignial exponents of the 4 striker rotation system

Re MR, you wanna chill out a bit, you might be forced to change your name again at this rate ;)

we've missed Andy Cole big time.
we no longer have a strong goal threat beyond our 1st choice strikers.
Forlan isn't a natural goalscorer evidently and Yorke has been frozen out completely.
Solskjaer has stepped up and done us proud, but we have probably the shallowest pool of strikers of all the top teams.

Eeyore's back.

We have missed Andy Cole.
Just look at our bench of late...sometimes we don't even have a striker to come on...as with the Boro game.

Once.

And apart from the Middlesboro game, how many goals have we scored lately.

Yes we need a striker. But it's not a crisis yet.
