Amorim was a bit more circumspect in the presser, saying that he doesn't want to risk Dalot's injury becoming a more recurring problem [if he plays before fully recovering].Expected to be fit for the final, great news!

Would rather keep it solid in the first half with Dalot at RWB, assuming he is fit enough to start.Would be quite nice to start with Amad RWB and have the option to sub Dalot in for a 10 and move Amad forward if we're winning in the second half.
If Dalot is fit enough to start he should absolutely be starting. Allows us to play Amad in attack as well as making us defensively more solid. Fitness will be the issue but I'm sure there will be risks taken on this game that we wouldn't see usually.Would rather keep it solid in the first half with Dalot at RWB, assuming he is fit enough to start.
We always seem to have issues defensively in the first half and play better in the second.
Amad's been looking decidedly like a defensive risk when playing RWB after returning though. Not sure that's smart against what might be Son and Udogie.Would be quite nice to start with Amad RWB and have the option to sub Dalot in for a 10 and move Amad forward if we're winning in the second half.
Son isn't what he was at all and Amad should be giving Udogie more problems than the other way around.Amad's been looking decidedly like a defensive risk when playing RWB after returning though. Not sure that's smart against what might be Son and Udogie.
He didn't start obviously as he's been injured for months and probably rushed back to play a part. Same with Zirkzee.Don't go along with the general opinion on here. A player I would certainly keep. Cannot understand why he didn't start the game.

Probably because he's been sidelined for a while. However he looked sharp when he came on and started to immediately impact the game. Yes easy for me to say in hindsight but you would think the coaching staff would be monitoring him and prepared to take the risk. Especially when you look at the other options. If you had to guess why he didn't start, what would you go with?
Surely you aren't serious. His last game was against Wolves a month ago, when he got injured. God knows how long his calf had been playing up before it took him out for a month. He was bound to get injured just like Saka this season. Starting him last night would've exposed how unfit he is, and we'd be all in here complaining about why Amorim made that decision.Probably because he's been sidelined for a while. He was awful yesterday. Genuinely can't wait to see the back of him.
I don't think we'll be actively pushing t sell him and will keep around 1 more season whilst there are other priorities, unless we get a decent offer this summer then by all means lets replace him now. We're on one accord here but may have to wait a few more windows seeing as we're not seemingly in the market for a RWB/fullback this summer (or are we?).
It seems to me Dalot is one of Amorim's favorite and most trusted players. He offered nothing against Villa and his blast over the bar was par for the course with him

Get a right wing back and he becomes another option for the wide CB role. Which I think he'd be decent at. Allows him to do what he's good at, carrying the ball, pace, decent in the air. Takes away what he's not good at, that final third decision/pass.
Completely agree.Lindelof wearing 2 never felt right. Glad it’s gone back to a RB.
