Don't be so harsh on the guy for the goals we conceded, he was obviosly exhausted from all the high fives he was handing out during the half time break.

Then you can bet shaw will be injured within a game or two he cant handle the intensity of that role now.

We'll see. 1 game per week doing that role is a lot different to when he's had to do it before.

I know he's not lit up the world since his move, but when I was watching Leverkusen under Alonso, Frimpong was the one I thought we'd go for as a wb signing.

There was a period where he was non-existent in defence and then, when we countered, he was non-existent in attack. Quite amusing.

The thing with him at this point is - we know he is rubbish. So conceding goals due to his lazy defending is just accepted as cost of doing business now.

Revoke his Portuguese passport and I reckon that will see him out the team. Even without the two goals, he was poor overall

Poor. Contributed in no small measure to our inability to do much offensively, but it’s not his fault . He’s not a wingback and should never be that high up the pitch, at least not on the left side.

We need a lwb, frimpong is rwb

Its a serious question: what other team in tge PL would have Dalot starting every game with the level of 4/5 out of 10 performances every game? Im struggling to think of any in the top 15!

I hope Martinez comes back and Shaw moves LWB (tho would be gassed after 60 min) to finally stop having to put up with seeing him stink the place out.

Indefensible performance. What the feck has happened to him. Ok sure, that 12 month period of good form was an outlier but this bottom level and inconsistency has been shocking.

Dalot is managers' favourite child. How is he even a starter?
Does all the good work off the pitch. Same nationality as of the manager. Unfortunate the team has to pay for the manager’s stupidity.

All over the place again, and although im not a massive fan of Dorgu, we saw a massive difference in quality when Dalot was hooked.

Would take Shaw over him at LWB any time. His inability to do anything other than average in all situations is worse than having players showing signs of brilliance and fail to impress on other occassions.

Simply Onana of our defense. I have no idea what he offers that merits him getting picked ahead of others.

His positioning and awareness of what's going on around him (especially in the penalty area) is sometimes so comical that is almost sad.

He’s one of, if not the, weak link everytime he plays for us. He gets targeted by the opposition and rightly so because he’s so limited. Technically he’s just, just ok but his positional and IQ sense during a game is absolutely shocking for a starter at United.
Not sure why Dorgu doesn’t get the nod as he’s better in many ways but between them that left side does struggle.
I’m hoping we can slot Shaw in there when Martinez is back.

Surely HAS to be dropped now.

Especially with Martinez back.
Agree completely with dropping walkabout Dalot but not sure where Martinez should play.

Shaw's definitely the more natural LWB but he's now accustomed to playing LCB. Martinez could conceivably play LWB and Shaw continue where he's been plahying.

Shaw's a bit taller and more physical than Martinez as well.

Shaw was stepping in today and played a few nice balls forward.

Need to see him at LWB.

He can count himself lucky that there is always another area of the team that urgently needs improving. I'd suggest the full backs should get some serious investment next summer, and Dalot finally moved on

Awful. Would have gone last year if he wasn't Portuguese and besties with Bruno. He has the physical attributes to be a really good player, but decision making is consistently poor. Without going full tin-foil hat...if he has 3 options for a pass and Bruno is one of them, it will ALWAYS go to Bruno.

To be fair to Amorim, it's not like we have a good LM/LWB alternative. Now Licha is back I'd like to see him at LCB and Shaw instead of Dalot for a few games.

Maybe malacia at lwb. If he's fit
And available. And alive

Why is Dalot now a starter? He is a RB and not a very good one. Now he is RWB is occupied by Amad, Amorim think Dalot can do a job as LWB. I hardly see he crossing the ball with his right feel. He isn't a very good defender, he must be the coach's pet or favourite child or what. I can't see the reason why he starting games for United.

Yeah once Martinez is back we’ll have to try Shaw at LWB. This Dalot Wb thing can’t go on any longer.

That 30 second spell of balling up an attacking move by stopping running only for Forest to counter and he jogs back looking like a 60 year old says it all really.

Just so mediocre.

Imagine being a coach and you ain’t even got nothing to say about the qualities of a player you’re gonna face thats Dalot, there is no worries at all playing against Dalot.

This crossed my mind and if fitness of both Martinez and Shaw allows I’d be all for trying it.

As for Dalot, I’d love us to sell him. We won’t but I wish we would.
