My lasting image of that game will be Dalot celebrating a goal that we didn't create, that was nearly an own goal, that wasn't actually a goal, but could have been a goal if he didn't stand still celebrating like a moron and actually followed the ball into the net.

fecking idiot.

He's a fecking moron. None of the players covered themselves in glory today, but I have to single him out. Celebrating the no goal is terrible already, but there was once a counter opportunity with Cunha running down the wing and he didn't even attempt the ball over the top. fecking Ugarte with zero passing range and a kid in Heaven tried harder to progress the ball. Insanely frustrating that he's a senior player here.

The man with the short long throw.
His trotting across the field looking all determined to punish the Wolves defenders with his limp lob which drifts barely into the 18 yard box just about sums up his career here.

You've gotta love a trier, and he seems full of encouragement for everybody else - but christ is he shite.

Average footballer who is one of the leaders of the squad , tells you everything

He's made 228 appearances for this club.

And we wonder why we've been garbage for years.

I don’t even think he’s that bad as a right back, we’ve certainly had worse full back squad players over the years. The problem is that he’s not a squad player and he’s not being played at right back.

Watching him play as one of the most advanced right sided players is so painful with Lacey sitting on the bench.

Can anyone tell me why he mainly plays as a roaming right 10, rather than just staying wide/giving an overlap option?

The amount of times he's floating behind Sesko/Cunhu, just clogging up the middle.

please realise this guy is so far from the quality any top team needs, the defence of him is mesmerising at this point. he's not a good RB he's very average and even if he stays wide what does he offer? wildly inaccurate overhit crosses. typical example of why we are where we are

He is that bad as a right back. That’s just a sign of how far our standards have fallen. At RB he is still a low IQ player who is prone to brain farts and sloppy defensive actions.

Amorim needs sacking for playing this fraud, why the feck didn't Dorgu start again on the right? Well I guess to fit in more defenders.

It's been over 5 years since he was shipped off to Milan for not being good enough, and yet somehow he's still the club's first choice right back as 2026 arrives. Maybe it's not too late for Matteo Darmian to save his United career after all...

The fact that we played a system which gives Diogo fecking Dalot so much of the ball in the final third is a crime against football.

That's incredible. How many did Lindelof make?

I think once we get our shit together, we should build a statue of Lindelof and Dalot as a nod to this era.

Shit, I totally forgot that happened.

Just one of numerous positions that we are long awaiting a good starting player at.

I’m more lenient on him than most but even I thought he was crap today, particularly without the ball. He did nothing to keep our attacking shape, particularly since we didn’t have a wide forward out there. Zero intent to stay wide and stretch play. Kept coming inside whenever our defenders had the ball thereby clogging an already congested center. It’s one thing to not be good on the ball but to not even make the good play to help the team. Thats a new level of bad.

When you throw -ins are getting this much stick after a game when the opposition team had a player who literally couldn't throw the ball properly... You know you must be pretty shit at them

The funny part of watching Ireland beating Portugal was knowing that nothing would happen whenever he got the ball and he'd probably give up a chance if you attacked his side. I knew then how fans of other PL feel when they played Utd with him in the team.

Been saying it for years and I'll never change my mind on it, this lad is an absolute spoofer, he might be a nice guy off the pitch, but no amount of chest bumps and high fives can cover up how how rubbish he's been in a Utd shirt for years.

Yep, couldn’t agree more. And the sad thing is I think we could have actually got some money for him to reinvest this past summer if we’d have tried but instead he was promoted to the leadership group.

Just seen the replay of him celebrating the ‘almost’ goal instead of running in to ensure it’s put away.

Thick as a plank of wood. Useless.

He's a decent right back.

Amorim played him as the right #10 yesterday to end the game, and generally has him as the main attacking outlet on the left or far too much attacking responsibility either way. Use him correctly and he can be a decent player. Ask him to do things he's not capable of and you get a shit level out of him. It's not rocket science, yet Amorim seems to want him to be this great attacker which is just wild.

Amorim doesn't seem to understand the level of skill required to be a creative attacker in the premier league, as he thinks any random full back can just handle all that attacking responsibility.

He really isn't, has no defensive awareness, is totally reactive, can't defend space, can't stop a cross, can't track a back post runner etc.

He's a bit like TAA if TAA couldn't pass or cross the ball, he at least has that. Dalot has chest bumps, high fives and the worst long throws in living memory.

Should have been shipped out long ago.

If he kept that sprinting motion he might've been able to get a toe to it. Fool.

Aye, if he just keeps his original run and follows the ball he will easily get to it before the keeper.

and even if he ran after he stopped, he would have still put pressure on Sa and he'd have got it on the rebound.

He's so fecking dumb.

Where’s that list of successful transfer thread? I got clowned for saying Dalot wasn’t a successful transfer and that he was shit even during his streak of form before the previous World Cup.

He played well that season. Clearly wasn't 'shit' as the other poster claimed. Plenty to criticise since then without needing revisionism for that season

Maybe he wasn’t shit, but the classification of “good” is relative to our perception and standards at this club being thoroughly eroded. Because he is not a good footballer, and he’s not a good defender.

no he’s shit. He always fecks up multiple times per game and his run of form was when his feck ups weren’t punished by the opponents.

His crosses are basically hit at full pelt and hopes for the best. Guy is hardly a footballer, he’s a full time cheer leader and hype man that should have been let go years ago.

Only reason he’s still here over AWB is because nobody else would make an offer for him.

Agreed. If he made a run at it he most likely scores. Moron.

Leeds United 1:1 Man Utd
He needs replacing, and taking out of the leadership team.

He's abysmal.

Enough with Dalot, been here for like 6 years and has not improved one bit. We should look to move him on asap
