Agree with you mate. He's a much better player than most people on here give him credit for
Not to say he doesn’t have his faults but a bit of balance when analysing his performances, and all players saying that, would improve interactions on here no end I’m sure.

Rumours today that Real Madrid and Juventus are interested. Him playing well for the remainder of the season has never been more important.
Real Madrid recruitment team crying as another another right back goes down injured and asking ChatGPT to list those with the least missed games in the last five years.

Juve to sweep in with a season loan with option to buy of 500k and they'll pay 1/4 of his wages

I would like to see how Maz is under Carrick before making a decision who I would leave go.

But to be honest, what I find annoying with Dalot is. He's like a hot woman that you bring home from the bar, your about to get to the final stages and you realise it was a dude all along.

His touch is good, he makes good runs, his dribbling/ball control is good but then his shots are shite and his crossing questionable.

Also, he switches off on defense. But of course, against City and Arsenal he was tuned in on his defensive duties. I know he's better going forward than Maz, but we need someone solid to stop the leak on defense also.

There is no reason whatsover to consider letting Mazraoui leave, and he isnt worse going forward than Dalot. Think people are sleeping on how good a right back he is, plus he's almost equally as adept at left back where he plays for his country, while we have an injury prone Luke Shaw on that side.

He just wasn't a very good right wing back under a shambolic and flawed system under Amorim, but he's an excellent link player when he has a winger infront of him in a sensible setup.

Disagree with the posts here and I think he is a very good right back. Right back is least of our concerns and hope he stays with us forever.

Switching him as wing back, left back wasn't helping him at al.He is a traditional right back in a 4 man defence.

Hence why I would want to see him now, its been 14-15 months now since we played a consistent back four. I can't even remember what he was like. I just know when Dalot tunes in and does his defensive duties, there is a player in him.
But either way, I would like to upgrade on RB, its matter of who you would keep as backup.

He is a good reliable player that is always available and gives 100% all the time.
RB is not a priority for us at the moment.
We need to concentrate on the midfield and probably a striker and a left winger this year.

I change my mind on this guy so much. He comes across as such a pro and a good influence on others, but he’s absolutely infuriating.

Besides holding mid, i'd say it sure as hell is priority. Rarely goes without a howler in a game, if you look at starting 11, that's the place your eyes should drift when looking what needs to be upgraded on. Was shite for Amorim, started well for Carrick, albeit only 2 games, was referees mistake away from playing only 10 odd minutes in those games and getting absolutely plastered on here.
Also, goals might not be expected from him, but everytime he gets in goal scoring opportunity, seems to aim for the moon.

Mazraoui is a very good right back as well and that's why i don't think RB is a priority until next week.

I don't think he's that good. But he is athletic, rarely unavailable, also able to cover LB, and by all accounts a model pro off the field.

With another good alternative at RB in Mazraoui, and both senior enough to be part of our current leadership group, that's probably enough for now.

Cash in whilst we can and find an upgrade. But make them do an IQ test as well as a medical.

Probably his best game this season. Other that one time when he got bested by their LW, he was great!

Played well, yeah. Kept Chukwueze in check most of the game

He actually has everything doesn't he. Pace, decent technique, physical strength, good aerial ability and can use both legs comfortably. On paper that should be a top RB but as we know Dalot usually plays about 3 levels below his actual ability. He has been looking better under Carrick though, he was crucial during our build up in the first half, sprayed some passes that had me wondering if it was really him.

Normally the first to shit on him but he's been pretty good these last few games, maybe he's turned a corner? Either way he's looking decent so long may it continue.

Good all around game from him but started to tire towards the end. Mazraoui coming back will be a good thing for rotation.

One of those Dalot games when he does everything right and you wonder how is it that he's not world-class. Sadly, those games don't happen nearly enough but credit where it's due. Loved the through-ball to Mbeumo.

He had a long spell of being really consistently solid under ETH, didn't he? Then started to go to pieces when he kept being moved to LB every other game. Never got good again under Amorim because he's obviously no wingback.

Maybe there's the possibility of him becoming that Mr Reliable again now?

Personally I'm a big Mazraoui fan so I'm content that we have a good option at RB either way.

No brainer to cash in on him and reinvest the money into world class RB.

Zirkzee, Dalot and maybe Rashford money could give us solid start to the transfer window to get 2CMs & RB, possibly LW

One of the most improved players under Carrick. Looked completely useless under Amorim and now actually looks like a pretty good player.

He is an above average to good full back and a mediocre wing back

You give up on Maz already?

Clearly you have been in that situation more than once

He's turning 27 and has all the tools, and has done for a good few years. Also like his attitude. You'd have hoped he'd improved on his concentration/brainfarts in that time as it's all he lacks, but maybe it's just the squad and club turbulence that's held him back. If he can show good concentration like today he's our best RB and we're ok there given Maz is a nice player too.
