Hes an all rounder. I get the frustration with him because at times he looks talented enough to create more goals, or he switches off when at other times he can defend quite well. But most weeks hes an okay option.

No brainer to cash in on him and reinvest the money into world class RB.

Zirkzee, Dalot and maybe Rashford money could give us solid start to the transfer window to get 2CMs & RB, possibly LW
Mate, not even with the prices 10 years ago would you be able to buy so many players with the money we will potentially get from those 3 you've mentioned.

Gets a lot of stick.

And has an undoubted brain fart in him.

But when he gets a a run in the team playing his actually position. Right back. Not Left back. Not wing back. But just plain old right back...

He more often than not gets into a good run of form.

I could say the same for 90% of the starting 11.

Who would have thought that playing players in their actual positions might have resulted in an upturn in form?!?!

He should be entering his prime now and making a claim for one of the best fullbacks in the league. Always thought he was a better option over AWB under the ETH years. Just needs a little bit better decision making and iron out the concentration issues.

No brain farts today, which was a welcome change, but was still caught out of position too often. Still, he was better than usual today, and was very reliable in possession, he deserves credit for that.

We had a spell of possession from the 54 minute. I can't remember how many passes it was but at the end of Dalot decides to shoot on his left foot instead of back heeling to cunha or cross to mbuemo. Would have been a good team goal. Had alot of support from Maguire and Casemiro in the 1st half defending. But rarely did he make any overlaps with Diallo made more inverted runs instead and covered the right central midfield side when the midfield got forward. His crowing moment was the assist he should have claimed when slipped in mbuemo but the beginning of the move was good as well when he wrongfooted the defender with his first touch. Overall it was decent performance nothing more.

Massive improvement from him since returning to RB. Great to see. He was never a wing back, and he's not world class at right back or anything but between him and Mazraoui I'm pretty comfortable with what we have there while we focus on other positions.

He's doing ok and will be a valuable squad member for the next couple of years.

His massive drop off came when he was playing out of position and everyone was playing shite.

He looks a lot more settled now in a 433.

At fault for Fulham's first. He was tracking Jimenez, got sucked into a needless tackle on Kevin and completely lost Jimenez who made a run and was in acres of space.

He was following Kevin, while Jimenez was way out on the wing. Maguire was free and should be able to deal with it easily. There was quite a distance to the goal. You'd expect your centerback to deal with the striker. The issue is, none of Maguire and Martinez is fast. On the 4th pictures, none of Maguire and Martinez was even close to Jimenez, even after traveling those big distance. And It was a good pass also.

Agree.

The pace problem from Maguire especially as we saw in the first image, influenced before the final pass to Jimenez. The line is too deep even for a mid block. There is acres of space between midfield and defensive line. It’s impossible for the midfield to close out all passing option when pressing. As Fulham bypassed our midfield press, they then had obvious good passing option in behind.

Mate, I never said anything that these three players will cover the prices of incoming players. The new manager will definitely get a new warchest, although maybe more limited than the last time.

If we decided to sell Rashford, Zirkzee, Dalot we can realistically expect 20+20+20? thats almost one Anderson. The rest will have to go form our pocket.

No surprises he speaks so well. Sort of mad to think he and Shaw are the longest serving players at the club. Both fullbacks at opposite sides, both actually playing in the team currently and both very much maligned by fans.

I like to think I'm usually quite balanced with my views on players (i.e don't have much of a love/hate relationship unless your name is Lindelof) but I have to admit I have bit of a soft spot for him. I would sell him or anyone in the squad in an instant, if that meant a PL/CL and success but that's not how it works. Whilst I can understand calls to sell and cash in, I think it would only have to be in very favourable terms for us. Anything less than £40m+ would not be worth it IMO unless for accounting reasons it means pure profit or whatever and we'd get 2-3 times the investment, in which case I would reluctantly accept. All that said, RB is not near the top of the list for our realistic priorities this summer.

My biggest gripe with Dalot was that under Amorim he was deployed as an attacking wing back who would often (as would Dorgu) get on the end of all of our crucial chances. Needless to say he very rarely hit the target, let alone scored. When he's played as a full back and in defence then its no real suprise he's actually quite good and, in this system with this level of performances, we will need him. Fast forward next year when hopefully we are fighting on all four fronts i would have no problems with rotating him in and out of the team. Some decent competition for his position would also probably make him notch it up a little.

He is doing ok but he is still the first one that needs replacing. Our right side is always an issue and he makes so many lapses and mistakes

Agreed, I’d try and sell him this summer and get a new RB. He’s a good age to cash in right now and Mazraoui can be that more experienced figure as we bed the new one in.

Why is RB a priority? We all expect Maz as the main RB.

Or are you expecting us to sell Dalot, and get a better RB than Maz as the first priority?

I would like us to sell Dalot whilst there’s interest snd he’s at an age where we can get a good fee so that we can reinvest that money into a younger, and hopefully better prospect. That just seems like a smart long term move. In too many games over the years he’s been an obvious weak link so why shouldn’t we try to upgrade him?

So we just want to upgrade a bench RB. It doesn't sound like a first priority to me.

It's good if we have, but it's not a necessity. If we're going for short-term trophies, we may need to keep him; instead of investing on another prospect or project.

The priority should be upgrading the First XI, then worry about the squad. Of course, we all want it all. Getting cheap, young, and good players, like Lammens.

I didn’t say it’s a first priority - it’s obviously not. But if we can replace him at a roughly net zero amount then I think we should. That is all.

I like Dalot. He's always professional on and off the pitch, give his best on every position he plays, and always seems like a good sport.

I see him as a good mid-table team player standard. And imho, that should be good enough as a squad player for a team on United position. He can cover both fullback positions to mid-table standard, and on lower-ish wage.

I don't know. If it's a net zero and there's a good prospect out there, maybe.. maybe... But again, is it a necessary risk when he's proven good enough against top teams like City and Arsenal, and is it a priority at this point where some experienced players might be gone?

If we really want to get back on our perch and play in the CL and compete for the PL, which we can reasonably achieve with a few more smart first team and squad upgrades, then we need to set our sights higher than “mid table” standard for players across the squad. Because realistically if you are in Europe then “squad” players inevitably end up starting a large number of games anyway.

We should therefore be seeking to upgrade the squad when and where possible. Dalot has often been a weak link, and if there is genuine interest in him this summer he is a great age to sell - we could actually get decent money for him and reinvest it in a younger, more technically sound player. One of our issues since Fergie left has been selling at the wrong time, leaving us with aging deadwood which we can’t shift. We hold on for players too long and their value plummets and that hurts our reinvestment in the squad.

Dalot’s greatest attributes are his athleticism and his availability. In terms of football IQ and technical ability, he’s just not at a good enough standard IMO, and with some smart scouting I genuinely think he could be improved upon without putting a dent in the transfer funds we have set aside for priority positions like CM.

Very good today again.

Guy gets singled out for abuse too often. Borderline bullying like with Fellaini.

Was excellent under Ten Hag at RB and was awarded our player of the season.

Has been excellent under Carrick at RB.

Amorim was a clown and played him out of position every week. He is the one who deserves all the abuse.

Dalot is a top RB in my opinion.

Dalot, bloody hell, what a unit! So happy for the assist!

I can't recall seeing him getting out-muscled.

He's proving me wrong game by game. Well done Diego!

Solid again, but too many of our fans have a hard on for wanting him to be shite

another player Amorim fecked over by playing him out of position.

Solid again
