I can still recall last game against Arsenal.

When we were 0-1 down, 1 minute stoppage time for 1st half, we got a throw in in our own half at 45:30, he deliberately burned 20 seconds before doing the throw in. He was happy to keep the score 0-1 before halftime.

This, alone, shows he is not a United player.

Wrong. He was always that bad, we just had worse players around him that were made the scapegoat for his feck ups. He’s consistently shit.

He’s not a footballer, he’s an athlete.

People keep forgetting that the only reason he’s still here is because Woodward and co re-signed him to protect his value before his contract ran out. At a well ran club, he would have been allowed to leave instead of us extending this liability.
This. Absolutely this

And fair play to him for that

But he’s got no business at an aspiring top epl team. His decision making and ability are just so far off it.

Can’t believe he’s still here. Was fully expecting the loan to materialise into a full transfer

I think we should offer him around over the last few days of the transfer window to see if anyone will take him so we can invest in a proper RWB, I recon Jose will take him

I really hope he isn't an integral part of the team going forward just because he's Portuguese. He'll have a couple weeks during the season where he looks decent, otherwise he's a liability waiting to happen. He's easily beat by wingers and he doesn't bring enough going forward to be worth keeping on the roster. Let Amad and Maz handle the rwb. Dalot can be back up to the backup on left and right. I don't trust him to not make a mistake

Just get rid of him, please!!! Can not stand the the sight of him. Absolute waste of space and he's on the leadership squad, give us a break!

I worry he's viewed differently from inside Utd as opposed to us outside. there is never any talk of him leaving and he was recently made one of Amorims leaders

To shore up our MF, I wonder if Amorim may consider inverting one of the fullbacks when we are in possession. Dalot had his best season when he was inverting and seems quite pointless as a WB. It may help the transition back to a defensive formation vs the WB being caught up front all the time when we lose posession.

Can't wait to see the back of him. Just doesn't have the brains, no matter how good he is physically.

Really thought this was the season we could get rid, would get a decent fee too.

Dalot being Dalot.

I'm sure he's a nice guy off the pitch, but far too casual on it. Doubt he'd even be a bench player at any club with PL ambitions.

Amorim's blind spot to guys like this is going to cost him his job.

Yep. Been batting this horse for years, he’s a dogshit player and always has been. He will have games where he isn’t mediocre but at his best what is he actually good at? Nobody on here would be able to answer that.

His best spell iirc came under ETH where he spent about six games winning lots of back post headers. But nobody can say he’s been a consistently good attacking full back for us nor a consistently good defensive fullback. One of those players I’m just sick at the sight of year in year out.

Always has at least one huge mistake in him every game. Low footballing IQ and been here for 9 seasons...

He's been so consistently awful at defending that people just pretended he was good at going forward enough for that idea to stick.

He's never been particularly good at any aspect of being a footballer, and the only reason we sold Wan-Bissaka instead of him is because no one wanted him.

7 years, one of them at Milan - so 6 seasons (and 2 games).
You're more than correct regarding his IQ unfortunately!

He's a good example of what it really takes to be a footballer at the highest level. I think his physical attributes are very good, he has decent technique, and he can strike a ball quite well (although maybe not consistently). But he ends up being average because of his concentration, awareness, decision making, etc.

Awful player. Doesn't suit the formation at all. He's a bad full back and an utterly awful wing back

Extremely fortunate he stays fit as frequently as he does - his game time is mostly down to having injuries elsewhere.

Can't defend, can't head the ball, can't tackle, can't cross, can't attack.

Workrate and professionalism cannot be questioned - but that is not enough at this level. You need some form of quality to play in the prem.

If we put him up for sale tomorrow - there isn't a team in the league that would want him.

7years. 7 years we've endured Dalot. Absolute madness he is still getting gametime here

Just having a football brain I guess. He hasn't got one.

Even ignoring the big mistake against Fulham he got himself behind their fullback but again didn't take the crossing opportunity.

I can't recall a United fullback so reluctant to play a first time cross.

Such a frustrating player.

Cristiano pointed out his professionalism and dedication on that Piers Morgan interview. I assume that's why he's highly thought of at the club

Having an horrendous start to the season. Very worrying stuff. Even his defensive game, which was pretty solid in the 23-24 season has gone off a cliff. 24-25 season was a mess as it looked like he was overworked and then got played out of position so frequently but the excuses stop now. He's got to screw his head back on.

That season is the outlier for him... not other way around. This is his actual level and has always been. Braindead player.

Grimsby Town 2:2 Man Utd
Where did he go for the second goal?

He should not be a wing back. He’s not even a good right back.

He was garbage-tempted to say as usual- but do you mean the first goal? He was high up the pitch when Mainoo and Ugarte made a mess of things and then Fredericson makes the slowest run ever to get to their player before Onana makes a mess of a routine save again.

He was dreadful but I think other people were more at fault for that goal. I’d Have to watch it again. Was shite anyway.

A brilliant athlete, blessed with excellent control of a football, but has the concentration and intelligence of goldfish. An absolute clown of a footballer. Should not be first choice at the club, but with him and Dorgu we are going nowhere. Then add in Shaw, Ugarte, Casemiro, goalkeepers, petulant young players .....we are a mess

His one redeeming feature is that he's so thick, he probably doesn't really understand the concept of "pressure"... So I never really worry when he takes a pen

Thought he was one of the few players that was OK to be honest.

At centre back he was decent. Everything before that as a wing back was poor.

He's got the athleticism, technique and on the ball ability to do well in a wide CB role. Hopefully we won't see that happen though as we need to move from this formation, manager and whatever 'vision' of it.

Both wing backs were rubbish because they had zero support and had to also cover the horror show in midfield. He could actually take people on and drive us forward through the centre, I want someone with those attributes in midfield!

Yeah, to be fair to him he was our player of the season at RB, then made to play LB, then LWB, then RWB, he's also not played RCB and LCB.... can we not just have him and Maz fight for the RB slot and stop this madness of a setup?
