He's done quite well since being moved back to right back. Amorim looks more of an idiot by the week
 
Very obviously showing that he's a good right back and that being played out of position and in chaotic systems made him look far worse than he really is.
 
I've slated him in the past but credit where its due, he's been doing a good job recently.
 
He makes great runs and gets into outstanding positions. The issue is often the final product. There's not a scenario where he ends up with the ball in a great position and you don't wish it was anyone other than Dalot.

Those moments of "Oh my god he's through he's...oh he's Dalot. Never mind"

Yes, this is my take.

A very good player who still has work to do on concentration and calm.
 
Honestly, i always rated Dalot and I’ve never really understood the “hate” Dalot gets. Yes, he’s not a top-tier, elite full-back — but I genuinely don’t get why he’s criticised so heavily.
He always gives 100%, regardless of the opponent or the occasion. He’s rarely injured, his physical attributes are excellent for a full-back, and technically he’s a solid player.
So what exactly is the issue with him?
I’ll say it again — I know he’s not world-class. But it’s not like the right-back market is full of players who are miles better than him either.

Dalot at his worst today. First half was a disaster class from him
 
He was genuinely woeful - not sure he did anything particularly well all game.
 
Had a shocker, he’s fine as a squad player but we desperately need an upgrade as a starter.
 
incredible number of bad passes and bad decisions. he's been awful. one thing that he has going for him is effort. needs to improve or be replaced.
 
He needs to be sold in the summer. He has never been quality and he will deliver these stinkers quite often. 1/10 performance
 
Has been great recently but not today. Lost possession too many times and didn’t seem at it.
 
Need to decide either Dalot or Maz as squad player, sell one and get an upgrade.

Both has pros and cons as squad player also. Maz is more skillful but with fitness issue, Dalot is you know.
 
First poor game from him since being moved back to right back - where he’s been genuinely been good. Passing was off today and slipped a few times too. Many others have had poor games during this time, so just hope he bounces back next game, as he’s been genuinely good under Carrick.
 
This is why I can never change my opinion on him when has a few decent games. A player can’t have a bottom level as low as this and be a good player.
 
Horrible footballer an zero football IQ. He needs to go in the summer.
 
Needs to become a depth/squad player. Maz to RB, Dalot 2nd choice, buy a LB to make Shaw 2nd choice.
 
Absolutely terrible.

There was a moment first half, maybe around 20 minutes in, where he just hit the ball with the outside of his boot in such a casual manner under no pressure and gave the ball away. I wanted to put my foot through the TV.

He's been better since Carrick arrived but you're never far away from these sorts of performances from him. He's just not very good.
 
He’ll probably still be starting the first game next season. I don’t know how he keeps getting away with it.

I've said it before, but his peak level tends to be a 6/10. He rarely, if ever, has a performance that would be considered 'Great'.

That wouldn't be too bad a thing if it wasn't for the fact that he also has too many performances that are sub 5/10.

He's a player with a low top level and a very low (and far too common) bottom level.
 
Was at the game today and towards the back end of the first half the crowd were noticeably ‘woooooooaaah’ when he had the ball….and cheered when he passed to a Utd player. Embarassing for him out there today

For me this is where squad management has to come in to play. You can’t play that bad (he must know it) and still get picked. Mazraoui has to start the next game. That msg is enough to let him know he needs to improve his output
 
He needed shipping out years ago. He’s never been good enough. Ole realised this and sent him on loan to Milan. That should have been the end of his time here but, somehow, he’s still here.
 
I'll ignore that first half for a moment, because it was tragic. But I'll mention something in the second half.

We are coasting through the game, no concern with 15 or so minutes to go, he fecks up a five yard pass and Palace break with space. Think Cas commits a foul to stop them.

That's Dalot. He may be a great guy in the dressing room, solid on the pitch for an extended period of time, then he'll have an absolute brainfart of a moment at the worst possible time. Also, I'm genuinely curious if there's a player that overhits as many crosses as he does.
