Getting pinged by the ref for pulling the Newcastle players jersey when they're facing their own goal line with nowhere to go...

I completely lost it. I could've put my fist through my monitor I was so pissed off.

How the feck is he still playing for this club?!
And he had the audacity to protest it. Gordon was going nowhere, the IQ it takes to make a foul there and then must be very low

We need to start giving players IQ tests before we sign them, and we'd avoid players like Dalot.

The funny thing is I said out loud "please don't foul him" when Gordon was facing his own corner flag, I knew full well what Dalot was about to do before he did it.

Commits five daft little fouls every game to kill any momentum we have or put us under pressure at the back. Braindead player.

I swear i was like that too:lol:

He took about 18 touches in the box when he literally could’ve done anything else and I’d have given him a pass. The guy just doesn’t think.

I done the exact same knowing full well socks was gonna commit a dumb foul. He does this in every game. He has the IQ of a loaf of bread.

He has to be the most stupid player we've ever had.

It's amazing how daft he is.

He's been here fecking 8 years, how???

I'm so sick of him. Dorgu and Maz need to put him out of the team asap.

Lack of ability I can understand, some players can't do it. But lack of intelligence is unacceptable. It's not just the stupid foul near their area either. In one instance, he got the ball from Amad, gave it back and then made a run to their box. You're a fecking FB, you're supposed to support your attacker. Hold the ball, let Amad make the run and let him do the attacking. But no, Amad has to stay behind because he has gone on walkabout.

It's just so, so poor.

Another player who will inevitably survive another manager, because we are in a "bigger mess" and because he's the one who shows up as a good lad puting effort in the training. I can see him with his head down, running around mad around cones in the training to get into the lineup only to use 2 out of his 3 braincells on the match day.

The day when we stop giving away contracts to mediocres like this is the day we might move forward, otherwise forever "top6"

When he's in-form, he's ok. When he's not, he can be terrible. We have a few too many fairweather players in our side. I'd be very happy to upgrade here.

That phase of play when he had just come on and Yoro was trying to hold off a Newcastle player during one of their goal kicks, hoping Dalot would claim the ball, and Dalot stood there flat footed waiting for god knows what then allows the Newcastle player to run at him and commits a foul.
These are the things that can make me go on hypertension meds.

Edit - this was also just after we had created two good chances one for Yoro and one for Ugarte when Ramsdale decided to go down and break any momentum. He did this after the restart and killed any pressure on them.

Shirt pull on Gordon was idiotic, that’s Dalot. But Gordon had just as much as Dalot’s shirt which the linesman chooses to ignore and then Gordon throws himself to the floor holding his foot. I know Dalot always does stupid shit and he fecks me off no end, but that was a 50/50.

This isn't really a criticism of Dalot - just something which confused me - but why the heck didn't United have Dalot take a long throw towards the end just before the goal? Instead of Malacia throwing it backwards.

Unfortunately, him and Shaw will survive another summer under the "Least of our problems" clause.

Agreed, even though they are a problem and both part of the reason we can't play high intensity football. Full backs are really important in the modern game.

Because he has never taken a successful long throw

In my 23 years of watching Utd, i do not think I have seen somebody who is as as thick as him. Just keeps making stupid decisions on the ball, making fouls when they are either not necessary and resulting in an easy way out for opposition just when they are under the cosh or under dangerous positions.

It’s more because his supposedly replqcement is even worst when with us, like AWB. Then we have Maz with his fitness issue. And Dalot is actually decent if you have him as squad player. If we had a better RB and manager kept playing Dalot as RB, then we have a problem.

But you know this already.

Also it doesn’t mean that i don’t think he’s not one dumb motherfecker (footballing wise. Probably).

Put a decent cross in the first half. But not sure what he was doing when we went 1-0 ahead. Always sleeping and likely to give the opponents a key chance in every game.

His shot in the first half was dreadful too.

I think he’s a great player, an attacking right back with confidence and plenty of talent.
He's a good player who if he could finish the chances he finds himself in, could be a really good one... Can't say he's great when his end product is so bad, but the movement is a big quality he has. Shame he's got 0 composure in front of goal.

Glad he's found form again though.

He’s got a good cross, solid dribbling, and a neat trivela. He can’t finish, but he’s a right back, so that’s not his main job, anyway I think he alright.

His crossing is bad. He just hits it hard and hope for the best. You can tell because his crosses tend to go long or they end up getting blocked by the first defender.

His runs and the way he finds space are so underappreciated and really quite rare, trouble is his finishing is so poor he never takes advantage of it but it does seem to be a tactical thing that when in possession we move to a 3 at the back with Shaw the preferred full back to tuck in and Dalot to push on (Same reason I find it odd people criticise LS for staying deep when it's clearly tactical as we allow one of Mainoo/ Cas to push up so a full back has to stay).

I’m sure he’s a nice bloke and is always the first to training etc, but how has he lasted this long as a first choice player is baffling.

Utterly brainless, careless with his passing, gets caught on the ball and passive when defending his own box - just a poor, poor footballer.

The funny part is when he took that egregious shot,

As soon as he took the touch, I told my dad, watch him shoot this from 30+ yards out.

Low and behold, he took it and a part of us died inside from despair of Dalot still doing silly things like that.

I mean, do the coaches encourage him? Because I'm perplexed as to how he has that kind of farcical effort in him now and then.

And against Newcastle Gordon was facing his own goal line with absolutely nowhere to go and Dalot on his back.
What does Dalot do? Goes and fouls him relieving the Newcastle defence of pressure.

If you were near me at the time you'd think I was a bit of a loon because I kept yelling 'Why?' at the TV. Why foul him? He's going nowhere with the ball.

I honestly don't know what it would do to my sanity to see him in a United shirt next season. Then I'd rather have Rashford or Sancho play instead of this clown because with them you know the odd shot they get off will be ON TARGET and not aimed at the International Space Station.
