A brilliant athlete, blessed with excellent control of a football, but has the concentration and intelligence of goldfish. An absolute clown of a footballer. Should not be first choice at the club, but with him and Dorgu we are going nowhere. Then add in Shaw, Ugarte, Casemiro, goalkeepers, petulant young players .....we are a mess
See, this is it. By all metrics he should be a great fullback. Very fast, strong, great first touch, can dribble some snd actually sometimes beat his man. His passing is also fine.

However, he just switches off defensively time and time again. He also tries stupid things like a 360 dribble on the edge of his own box surrounded by three players. So, not a great player by a long shot.

One of the least deserving players for all the chances he gets. By tomorrow many will forget how terrible he his. His next normal by his standards 5.5/10 game will be considered acceptable again

The lack of footballing IQ prevalent amongst our players is alarming as it is shocking.

I don't think his passing is fine. It's really sloppy.

I can't stand watching him anymore. Him and Onana need to be gone instantly.

Sell...now. He's done nothing but regress over the last 3 seasons. He caused the goal against Fulham, trying that stupid turn in the defensive third. He was absolutely worthless today. Amad wasn't great but he still has way more potential to do great things than Dalot. If someone wants him, sell.

He's such a non-entity, offers almost nothing in both directions and then hides whenever the going gets tough.

Mentally he must be up there with the weakest players we have in the squad, given how poor his concentration is normally and how much he hides when things are tough.

One of the leaders for Amorim.

How far we've fallen.

This dude went out on loan 4/5 years ago, didn't even do well, somehow came back, got replaced by AWB, cemented a first team spot and is still here.

Joke of a club.

Another one who should've been sold long ago. Had one decent season followed by rumours of Madrid being interested, everyone cried "We can't sell Dalot, he's out best player!" and sure enough he's reverted to his mean of being utter shite.

He was garbage-tempted to say as usual- but do you mean the first goal? He was high up the pitch when Mainoo and Ugarte made a mess of things and then Fredericson makes the slowest run ever to get to their player before Onana makes a mess of a routine save again.

He was dreadful but I think other people were more at fault for that goal. I’d Have to watch it again. Was shite anyway.
Yeah, that wasn’t Dalot’s fault. He was high up the pitch as a wide outlet, which is where this formation expects him to be when we are in possession. Sadly Amad (not Mainoo) lost the ball and Dalot had no chance to get back. In fairness to him, he must have put the after-burners on to get as close as he did.

Still had a complete stinker of a first half though. Could barely control the ball and didn’t do anything right.

Yeah that certainly raised an eyebrow for me. I understand most of that committee, and the need to spread some professionalism throughout the squad, but while Dalot may well be a model pro off the pitch, on the pitch he's no leader at all.

Dalot is a prime example of what's going wrong. He's an emotional player, but he's playing without that sparkle in his eye, he's so obviously going through the motions. I think he's a good player but he's giving us none of his good attributes at the moment, it's just mediocrity and lost concentration at key moments.

I think he's a good player

That's where you're mistaken.

He's a prime example of what's going wrong because he's yet another distinctly average player, that we've known isn't good enough for absolutely ages, yet has been allowed to long outstay his welcome. He'll have been here eight years by the end of the season.

This is his 8th season for us. Hes had one good spell pre-world cup under Ten Hag. And it seems thats good enough for him to still be at this club. He has no consistency at all.

He might actually be the best penalty taker at the club - He's taken like 7 penalties in shootouts and I've never seen him take a bad one.

Maguire's a shout there too. He's calmly smashed it high into the net every time I've seen him take one.

He had that one run of stellar form prior to the World Cup. Outside of that, he’s an indictment of why we are the way we are. You don’t get to be so bad for so long at any other big club.

Some players have consequences for poor performances. Not the Portuguese ones though obviously.

I'm usually critical of him but thought he did great.
It was the good and bad with him today. Good assist, and some decent dribbles. But then other times he dribbles too much and loses the ball, as well as constantly giving brainless fouls away whenever we are in control of a game. Him and Bruno are masters of that.

i don't get why every game he has that amateurish "knock the ball forward across the byline for a goalkick" cameo

Would be such a good traditional winger, shame we have to play this shit system.

He remembered how to play football today, finally decided to make use of his big frame and pace. The way he just blasted down that flank, shaking off whoever was trying to hold on to him was impressive.

One of his better performances, no doubt about that. More aggressive going forward instead of the usual side/ back pass. He should be looking to hit the byline more often. That cutback could give him plenty of assist this season if he does.

The last few minutes of the game showed the absolute best and worst of his game. We had no need to attack and just needed to run down the clock, but he did a great run initially which got him free and he overdid it and lost the ball which costed us possession.

fecking hell Dalot. Use your brain when playing will you.

Pretty good going forward. Defensively, probably responsible for the first goal. Completely evacuates his position. I'm not even sure he was aware of where he was going. He just kept moving inside.

Fuming for the goal we conceded but then he straight away redeemed himself with are goal. Overall he was decent.

Responsible again to let Burnley into the game, made up for it 2 mins later with the assist for Mbuemo. He runs extremes during the game, he is great one minute and really poor the next.

He’s so annoying, he feels like he’s so close to putting it together sometimes and you think ‘yes, he’s some player’, and then he will do something utterly insane and then you get brought down to earth.
