Glad to see a good performance out of him, he's very capable of them but he seems to play within himself too much.

He’s awful. Good cross for the goal, otherwise as terrible in defence and positioning as ever

Like the team, Dalot is incredibly inconsistent. Was decent yesterday, particularly going forward but was also responsible for allowing the cross to come in unchallenged for Burnley’s opener.

He made some good runs and obviously did well for our 2nd goal. However the mistake to switch off and allow their first equaliser change the whole momentum of the game. Could have cost us dearly.

Much better than Dorgus in the LWB role
Definitely.

It was one of his best games offensively, but he needs to wake up defensively. He's supposed to be the safe choice wingback in contrast to Amad, yet he has been culpable in a couple of goals already this season.

I must be blind because I dont see half the mistakes other people can.

Everytime there's a reaction saying "oh I can't wait until Dalot is out, why is this bellend here".

I then try to look for his mistakes and I dont see many; some sure, but not as much as people seem to make out.

Maybe it's just me and I'm blind because I dont really notice him until he gets to the oppositions half.

Think the opposition see it that way to because his uncanny ability to switch off defensively costs us massively. Like yesterday he was poor for their goal and it happens a lot.

He's never going to be a great player. Best he'll do is scrape by as a bit of a "He'll do" type.

I'd imagine he's a very likeable presence around - you can't fault his workrate and his attitude - he seems a real grafter.

He's nowhere near the quality we need though and this system does him no favours at all. He's no WB at all - underwhelming defensively, will always switch off and make a mistake and offer's very little going forward.

Seeing him play at LWB in particular is quite cringey - he's so predictable and must be a dream to play against for a full back.

Let himself and the team down with Burnley's first goal - miles off it. The assist was good though to be fair to him.

I think, similar to Bruno he is rubbing the bulk of fans the wrong way with his body language, we've just finished 15th in the league, we've been awful for years yet he celebrates winning throw ins with over the top screams and chest bumps etc. Just completely not needed and makes himself look like a bit of a twonk. Especially when he's gifting teams goals. Just get on with it

Watched the Burnley 1st goal a few times and its more on De Ligt than Dalot. They had switched positions just a few seconds ago and De Ligt should not have left the LWB spot while
Burnley's attack phase was still on.

Yeah. de Ligt, Yoro, and obviously Shaw were the main culprits. But it's a lot easier to just scapegoat Dalot. Well, perhaps Dalot could kungfu kick that high cross, I guess

Just look at those "best in class" Centerbacks we have, who were in the middle of nowhere, and marking no one (except for Yoro who ended up marking two players, but should judge the cross better). Just clueless of where the dangers were.

Yeah De Ligt seems to gesture to Dalot and stay in position lingering longer than needed. Then he casually walks towards the middle while Dalot is resetting to leftback late and cant get close enough to stop the cross. De Ligt never recovers his position and is punished for taking a leisurely stroll instead of recovering at the intensity the Burnley attack required.

As for Dalot overall he makes the Mbeumo goal and gives Sesko the cross for his best chance where he heads it wide. 1 game and already has the assist Dorgu still doesnt have in a competitive game for us. Not only does he not have an assist in his first 2 games, Dorgu doesnt have any key passes either. Dorgu has the least (0.0) of our players to start more than 1 match and Altay Bayindir has 0.3 key passes...

He does, his best attribute is his running power for me, he should just kick and run to the byline and cut back as often as possible.

Yeh. You can see on the 1st pix that de ligt and the goalscorer were on the same spot. The goalscorer moved to the center, but somehow de ligt stayed there marking no one.

And Shaw was just so bad, with zero awareness of danger.
Just like my friend’s home kept mini poodle. Zero instinct of sniffing any danger. It wouldn’t last a day in wilderness

Just no communication at the backline.

Annoyingly he survives another window here.
After the last game it's not exactly the time to moan about him, he looked a clear upgrade on Dorgu, which is why he's kept. Can also play both wings although his top tier level there is not at the level we need him long-term.

Next window we go big on midfielder, might GK after, depending on Lemmens and belief in Vitek, but then surely Wingback, then one of Dorgu and Dalot might be moved on.

Pulled out the Portugal squad with a injury.

Hopefully nothing serious. We'll need him whilst Maz gets fit.

Dalot is a way better footballer than Dorgu. Dorgu is just dross
Dalot is 26 and shite. Dorgu is 20 and new to the league. I'm not saying Dorgu will be a revelation, but it makes no sense to limit his time by playing Dalot out of position when Dalot can only really play RB (not RWB).

Brentford 3:1 Man Utd
Remember when there were legitimate links to Real Madrid a few years back?

Absolutely shocking today, no other way to see it

Its nice of the club to take part of make a wish, but maybe one game was enough.

Obviously further exposed playing as a wing back. I’m sure we’ll be back to a back four soon and he’ll look a little more average again.

He did one good thing which was that reverse pass for the penalty, other than that terrible. Just cross the ball first time, always has to take a touch and set it then play that crappy floaty cross that’s 10ft too high.

95% of passes backwards today as always. Offers nothing going forwards. Directly culpable for the 1st goal and almost led to a 2nd goal. Only positive was quick pass leading to our penalty. I was worried we’d miss Mazraoui and we did big time

im not convinced he meant it, I think it was for mbuemo but the other side of the defender

Can't pass, can't cross, can't beat his man, can't keep up with opposition wingers, can't tackle, etc.

Nowhere near good enough.

Rubbish

But, still think he should be our penalty taker... He's too dumb to understand the concept of pressure. He's have spent that whole 5 minutes thinking about balloon animals.

Not even close, you could play 2 of Dalot in the same position and they couldn't match Dorgu's physicality.

If we had a right footed Dorgu to play instead of Dalot we'd look so much better going forwards and backwards.

That excellent pass he did I don't think he meant it genuinely, looked more like he was aiming to play it more inside

He's just awful, been saying it for years.

How he is still at the club never mind getting games is beyond me.

That's the thing, he's seriously a weaker defender in this system than Amad.
