Almost comical for the 2nd goal. Where's he going? What's he thinking.
Gave a great pass before the penalty.... im just not sure if he intended to do that.
that was my impression as well, that pass was so un-Dalot-like, hard to believe that it was completely intentional. If yes, fair fecks to himProbably for the same reason he makes our squad, lack of better options or the better options are injured.Had a decent 3 months was it last year of the year before but he's in his 8th year at United. Somehow this clown has lasted that long, mistakenly thought wing back might suit but he's even worse then he was at fullback.
We'll struggle getting rid of him next summer I'd imagine as his wages don't reflect his ability, how he continues to make Portugal squads is beyond me.
The system isn't more at fault, come on. He's an average (at best) right back who has failed to meet any performance standards since he came here. He's not good enough even for a mid table team. He's a decent right back asked to play wing back and can't do it. The system is more at fault.
Nope. He had one very good season, and had already reverted to being shit in a back four before Amorim came in.He's a decent right back asked to play wing back and can't do it. The system is more at fault.

Its players like him, there are numerous others, why I dont believe simply changing the system/tactics is going to see an uplift in performance/results. We have too many dogshit footballers still that yurn out for us week in/week out!
Agreed and a lot of those are capable of playing well in periods but given each will cost us several games throughout a season it adds up.
Bayindir, Onana, Shaw, Maguire, Dalot, Ugarte, Casemiro are all going to cost you 3-4 goals a season. I'd like any new manager to come in after we've replaced this lot otherwise it undermines the mentality of making progress.
We do as fans buy into these little spells a bit too much.
I think everyone in the Prem can have a few games where it clicks for them. That's the level they're at. It doesn't really mean much. I'm guilty of buying into a few good games.
We can keep him as a squad player if we want to, he can come on and bring some legs after 70 mins but like the goalkeeper, this guy is a disaster for a backline.
I felt harsh in the past questioning his IQ but there really is no other conclusion to be made.
He went full Forrest Gump at weekend. Open the gates and he'd have run straight out.
Maguire at £80m, Antony at £85m, Sancho at £72m, Van de beek at £40m all say hi.Pound for pound, the worst player in the history of the club. There have been less talented players, but not any of them have amassed over TWO HUNDRED appearances.
Maguire has been fine for us overall, won us his fair share of games at both ends of the field. The meme agenda against him was embarrassing.Maguire at £80m, Antony at £85m, Sancho at £72m, Van de beek at £40m all say hi.

That pass was a miss kick.
He’s the worst player I’ve seen at since Fergie left. And that includes all our flop signings, including Antony. When you watch full clip from behind the goal and just look at him. It's fecking hilarious how bad his defensive movement and awareness was, it's like he made a run as if he was getting towards the goal for an attacking cross.
Genuinely have no idea how he's been at the club for so long, just an awful footballer.
Yeah, he is the opposite of Rafael to me. Rafael was an intelligent player even from a young age but unlike Dalot he was quite small for a PL defender and injury prone. Dalot is tall, stronger, can run for days but never really learned positioning and his crossing is more of a gamble than a calculated move. Dalot has too many brainfarts to be a mainstay in this team.In a way, he's a really weird player. Physically pretty talented, high rate of availability and capable of good moments in the final third. He's just never been able to improve his deficiencies in positioning, awareness and reading the game defensively, which is a shame, because if he did that, he could have been a decent back-up to have.
If we watch backLiverpool 7-0 United game carefully, him and Shaw were responsible for at least 5 of the goals we conceded.
Him and Shaw epitomize post-Fergie United

Agree. The only time he improved/developed was during his loan spell at Milan. He didn't start a lot of games for them but he did come back a better player and if I remember correctly, they wanted to sign him permanently. It's a shame because he's basically stagnated he still plays as a 20-21 year old. Good speed, good technique, good physicality but braindead. It's like he has learned nothing in all this years playing in top league. He hasn't developed at all. He's 26 now he won't improve what were seeing it's his level and it's simply not good enough neither in defense nor in attack.
