We'll get smacked anyway, does it matter? Who plays in his place if we leave him out? I'd say there's a fair chance Ronaldo isn't active after today's news, Fred/McTominay aren't fit... that leaves Sancho/Rashford/Elanga/Bruno/Pogba/Matic/Mata/Lingard as literally our only midfield and attackers. So essentially, do you start Lingard and Mata? Unlikely.

Why is that funny? He certainly isn't a midfielder and we have been rotating Rashford and Elanga while Bruno continues to give the ball away in dangerous areas. WIth his delivery I can guarantee you we would create more with Bruno whipping in crosses. But go on...enlighten us on why we should contiue playing him in the midfield instead of the wing
If there is one thing Bruno is absolutely not, it’s a winger. It’s incredible that you actually believe he’s not a midfielder despite him being our best player by a country mile in his debut season as a midfielder. Then what is even more absurd is you suggesting he plays as a winger when he has none of the main attributes to play as a winger. His pace and acceleration is nowhere near the level required for a winger. Dribbling with the ball is not a major strength of his. There’s absolutely zero chance he will take on a man and beat them. Hoping that he is a threat by just crossing the ball into the box is very wishful. Any full back would just have to close him down and easily mark him out of the game knowing full well they don’t have to worry about him going past them with any pace or dribbling. Playing Bruno on the wing is absurd as your defence or Maguire.

Who else do you play?

Fred ad McTom are out. Ralf hasnt fancied Hannibal much. Garner and Donny shipped on loan.

We'll play the usual dross and get spanked. Nothing to debate here

We should copy Gareth Southgate's England tactics and go seven at the back.

Bruno needs to play and have Phil Jones on as his 'minder' to clear a path for him to work his magic. This is a match for Bruno, and Rashford to step up and give the game of their lives and play for the badge.

Nobody gives us a prayer tonight, but still.... we could make City PL champions (almost), ruin the quadruple, and score a great win on Liverpool's 'own midden'... well I can dream!!

Pace is so over rated. Mata was a fantastic winger in his day. You are also under rating his dribbling but on top of that you are also just thinking of wingers who dribble to score goals. Hasn't this been our problem? Depending too much on individuals instead of building team goals? Bruno's delivery is better than anyone on the team and that is what we are lacking. Service into the box is horrible. I can guarantee you that if Bruno played there that would change. But if you want to keep doing more of the same rather than try something different then you do you
