Dominic Calvert-Lewin

This is the guy that dressed up in a skirt and handbag for a magazine.

Permenently injured, can’t score goals…..sounds like someone looking for one last big hoorah
What does that have to do with anything?

We’re not genuinely interested are we? Don’t want more injury prone players in the team. Find me more Brunos.

Knowing our luck, we will fumble the Mbeumo deal, then he will join us on deadline day and ends up starting 20 odd games because our other CFS are injured.

A centre forward who doesn't score & is injury prone ..... plus he probably wants big money too. A bit of a dodgy move for a GM.

Prediction: he'll end up at a PL club and get 10 goals in the league next season. He'll be injured for a while but it'll be regarded as a step back in the right direction. I really think he's a good player and he'll start scoring again if he can get fit and gets the right kind of service

That's just not true though is it ?

DCL = on average scores a PL goal every 198 minutes

Hojlund = on average scores a PL goal every 299 minutes.

Just to reiterate though, we should avoid signing DCL as he is just physically broken.

Not sure where you've got this from is I was sure he's more average than that...I just did a quick minutes/goals from his career and it's a goal every 275 mins, whilst in his last 4 injury riddled season he has a goal every 375 mins in the PL.

We're both not disputing the fact he should never be signed though!

Depends which bookies you look at we are 11/2 to sign him on one and 6/1 on another.

forget gyokores, DCL is coming to Utd boys!

Please no. He could not score in a brothel with a fist full of tenners. If he signs, we are becoming a bottom of league side.

I’ll rather we sign Vardy than DCL.

I presume you mean Rebecca? She would do a better job up front than DCL.

This is a non runner, we may struggle with financials but this is scraping under the barrell instead of the bottom of it. Couldn't even make an excuse that he would be handy on the training pitch for the younger players to learn from.

If we ended up going for him it’s purely a money thing and if that’s the case, I don’t understand why we weren’t in for Jonathan David on a free?

DCL will sign a multi-year, multimillion contract only to tear his ACL and expedite our slide towards the EFL.

Jesus Christ. I hope we're genuinely not in for this guy. It's the sort of signing you'd expect Burnley to make.

This signing would sum up everything about Utds ownership and status as a midtable team, this is what desperate measures looks like, awful what this club has become.

BBC Football Gossip, link to story in The Sun that we are going to move for DCL as striking option off the bench, not the starting no9.

I did say I thought this would happen with Utd. Let's see if it pans out. Interesting.
