Bringing in Sabitzer, a player very similar to Donny, suggested to me that Ten Hag wants that type of player in his squad. Would not be at all surprised if he gets a final chance.

A bit like Sancho though, needs to show some fire and aggression in his game. Don't mean physically either (though it would help) too often he has just been existing out on the pitch, a peripheral passenger with a sad face. Hopefully the serious injury has changed his mindset and he stops playing with so much fear.

Honestly hope we get rid, could hopefully get 10-15mil for him.
The problem is he is competing for the 8/10 position where he has Bruno, mount and Eriksen ahead of him (as well as Fred for now). For him, he just wants regular football and he won't get that as the 2nd backup for those positions. Especially as Bruno plays every game anyway. Better to sell and make some money off him.
So that would make it a total of 5M plus add ons of course.

Great finish. Honestly if he had any sort of physical ability he'd be a very useful player for clubs, but he's so slow and not a great runner that instead he plays like Thomas Muller if he was 70 years old.

That’s a good comparison. The aggressive nature of most PL opponents can be a shock to some of the newbies. Even now, far less so than 20 years, studs are flying everywhere and Donny and Jadon have not yet accepted the challenge. The talent is there, but it remains to be seen whether they will embrace the physical challenge.

Tidy player in just about everything he does but he just doesn't have the engine or dynamism for the PL. If he did he'd be amazing.
I was thinking that he doesn't have the aggression or the hunger to get into this team. Especially seeing him next to a smaller player in Gore who wasn't taking any shit (and came out winning).
Hopefully that goal will spur suitors on.

I think he could be a sub specialist like ole or chicarito.
Lovely finish and good movement. You can see there are times he moves for the ball but doesnt get it especially in areas where he backs himself but maybe other players dont back him or think its too high risk.

It's quite remarkable that a lot of our signings who we have paid quite a bit for, will struggle to get sold for even half of their original amount. VdB, Maguire, Sancho, Bailly, Fred, Martial etc. Throw in De Gea and Pogba leaving for free. Our problems in a nutshell

In 60 games he played for us he has had 28 appearances off the bench. He has scored 2 goals both from the bench. Both goals came in a Manutd loss 3-1 vs Crystal Palace and Watford 4-1. He has been a failure at United and has had no real impact in his loan at Everton. Its the deluded fans who expect under performing players for many seasons to magically turn into stars overnight.
Including him in squad will potentially take away chances from youngsters like Amad, Hannibal and Mainoo. We should just accept it was a bad transfer and move on.
No doubt about it hes a very good player, its just never went well for him at united and injuries have not helped him. But let's face it, Donny van de Beek has no future at Man Utd. He has to leave this summer for the sake of his own career.
Problem is who would take him in with his wage bill? Loan or if we are so lucky, a sale?
I wouldn't call it too good, but without joking, he is a fantastic link-up player but no one wants to go for the double-pass in our team.
Feels pretty similar to the Shinji Kagawa mystery. Great at Dortmund, useless here. My feeling is that you need two of those types in midfield to make it work. Eriksen / Mata had the vision/IQ but not the legs. Fred / McTominay don't think the game of football the same way.
So yes, in that regard, he kinda is too progressive for our team. But if that's your only quality and you need everyone else to adapt, you're still not really too good...
If no European team makes a move, I hope a Saudi team comes for him.
